It's really simple. We love the Olive Cafe. Cozy and quiet and usually busy, but not so you have to wait too long. Favorite is the fish tacos, blackened, with hand cut fries. Salads are big enough to share and if you're lucky enough to have Charlotte's lemon coconut cake on the dessert menu, make sure to have them hold you a slice. Wine is reasonable and good and the overall vibe you get while dining is that the owners really care about your experience there. Thumbs up!

After walking by Olive Cafe many times and thinking, "we should try this place", we finally did and really enjoyed it. I like wraps and there was plenty to choose from, including Ya Baba (vegetarian) with sweet potato fries (which I believe were coated in honey. Yum!). One of our party had a chicken kabob and another had the special dinner, flounder. There aren't many places in Portland where you can get baklava for dessert but if you're splitting it as we did, order two or get the ice cream to go with it. Everything was just delicious delicious and the prices are very reasonable. As Ahnode says, we'll be back.

Three of us had lunch - each of us had a different wrap with french fries and one also had a bowl of soup. The soup was okay but we all really enjoyed our wraps; Falafel, Ya Babba and a special of the day which we cannot remember the name of (sorry!) made with spiced ground beef. They were all a little messy, but totally worth it. The traditional french fries were also quite good. The sweet potato french fries were drizzled with honey, which we didn't realize until they arrived, and we all found them to be way too sweet- like a dessert. We also felt that it took a bit longer than it should have for the food to arrive given what we'd ordered, but again it was worth the wait. We will definitely go again for the wraps!

The food is pretty healthy here. I had the fatoush wrap, which was amazing. Good portions, I left full and satisfied. The prices are good too. Staff is friendly and helpful.

This place was recommended to us by our daughter and we were surprised by the quality of the food considering the reasonable pricing. It's a tiny place but the tables are spaced out enough that you're not crowded. I had the beef shwarma pizza on flatbread and aside from the shape didn't resemble my idea of traditional pizza at all. My wife had the flounder special and raved about it. Two meals, an appetizer and two beers came to about $50.00. Service is prompt and friendly. I've had lesser experiences in Portland for twice the price. Give it a try!
