Description: The menu at Hot Suppa is all made from scratch from quality ingredients; local goods are used whenever possible. Our renowned breakfast and lunch are served seven days a week, so you can get that corned beef hash fix whenever you’re jonesing. Dinner is available five nights a week, featuring our favorite dishes, like fried chicken & a waffle, falafel salad, and Maine oysters on the half shell. We offer a full bar service if you care to relax into the evening with a Porch Swing cocktail, or recover in the morning with a spicy Bloody Mary or cold draft beer.

“Great place”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Read about this place in an article where local Portland chefs picked their favorites. Went for lunch and loved it. Pretty storefront, small dining room, nice staff, good prices and excellent food. I had their mac n cheese, my husband the corned beef and eggs off the breakfast menu and raved about them. Perfectly cooked eggs, great toast and homemade, house favorite corned beef. We'd go back with the kids or with friends for dinner.

“Great Way to Start the Day”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

Don't be fooled by the name---Hot Suppa is a great place for breakfast! The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was outstanding as was the corned beef hash. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Great little place with lots of charm, not far from the downtown. Street parking is a bit tricky but doable. We stayed in Portland for three days and this was the best meal we had, bar none.

“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Went there for breakfast. Great food! It is a tiny restaurant, nicely put together and very clean. It is well attended by the local residents. You may have to wait, but it is worth it. It has a back patio in the back yard, however, I did not find it inviting. It may work fine for some other people as the patio was totally occupied. It has a great selection of dishes and uses fresh produce. Dishes are priced well. Friendly staff.

“Great breakfast experience!”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

We recently ate here and were thrilled with the restaurant. Prices are very reasonable, and the quantity and quality of the food are superb! Let me say, though, that we got there VERY early and were seated in only five or ten minutes. Seating is extremely limited, and the wait had increased substantially by the time we left. Prepare to wait, but know that your dining experience is going to be good! I had the biscuits and gravy with the garlic cheese grits. The biscuits were the lightest I have ever had, and the gravy was filled with sausage and quite tasty. But the grits were something else again! They were fantastic!! My husband had the corned beef hash; it was lean and wonderful and HUGE! We will return next time we are in Portland, for this was a truly great breakfast experience!

“Great food and large portions”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

We ate dinner at Hot Suppa after it was recommended to us and it was great. We decided to share a BBQ Platter Sampler and there was more than enough for two. The pulled pork wasn’t the best, but the ribs and chicken wings were delicious.
