“Fascinating tour - incredibly knowledgeable tour guide”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

You learn lots about the historic city of Portland (more than we learned on the fun but light-weight Duck Tours). Lots of great displays + views of the city. It is really a tribute to the non-profit group that maintains this historic site, the Greater Portland Landmarks, and their wonderful volunteer docent. Cannot say enough good things about this nice man - he had lots to tell and was very patient with our many questions - thank you for doing such a good job!

“Interesting and a great view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

Not too much to see, but there's a fair amount of interesting info on how the tower was built and its history. I can't remember our tour guide's name, but he was super nice and knowledgeable and gave us some great tips on other places to check out while we were in Portland. Doesn't take too long to visit and there's a great view of the bay from the top. Worth a look.

“Great view from the top!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

The observatory is unique to Portland. In all my travels I've never seen one! Price was right, tour was interesting and tour guide was knowledgeable with actual family tracing back to the owner of it. The walk would be a challenge if you can't handle steps though. The view is terrific!

“Nice, but too expensive for what it is”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

It is a nice hystorical building and nice place to go. Only the price was a little expensive for what it is. $9 just for going through 7 floors with some description about the building, and a very nice view from the top the tower.
