“Flawless at every level”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the owner until we left two hours later, we (a group of three celebrating a birthday) were in heaven. All of us travel extensively and are familiar with French, Italian and Greek food. We are also familiar with the American version of those foods as it is served in most restaurants. This restaurant is worthy of note because of the quality of the ingredients and the authentic preparations of the dishes we sampled -- spanakopitta, dolmades, swordfish with a simple tomato garnish and moussaka. The wines we chose (all Greek) paired beautifully with the foods we ordered. The service was impeccable and the ambiance although thoroughly modern and stylish (as in minimalist), was warm and inviting. I am recommending this restaurant to all of my summer only friends and we (year rounders) will be back very soon.

“One of the Best Restaurants Ever to Come to Portland, Main e in 20 years!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

Having just returned from Naoussa, Greece (near Thessaloniki) in Macedonia two weeks ago, I was seeking some authentic, fresh and delicious Greek fare. What a surprise to spend an amazing evening enjoying spectacular Greek cuisine, impeccable service and a warm reception the moment I called for reservations. I can honestly recommend this fantastic restaurant without any hesitations whatsoever. The quality and freshness of delicious appetizers and carefully prepared delectable main courses was inspiring. I will frequent this wonderful new addition to Portland's dining community and I'm eager to return as soon as possible. The ambience is relaxing and soothing. The owner welcomed us like family. Indeed, this is one of the best restaurants that our great city can now feature with pride and confidence. The tzatziki---perfect. Our entire meal was splendid! Wines from Naoussa are available and can go head-to-head with any NZ Sauvignon Blanc from Marlboro, and luscious reds delight the palate that are full-bodied and aged to perfection. What a delight to have this jewel in Portland's crown!---Dr. Jan Broberg Carter, Portland, Maine.

“Culinary genius”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

WOW! We stopped here for dinner during an overnight in Portland and were blown away! The food was amazing! Obviously fresh ingredients, with cooking and presentation to rival any big city five-star. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to please. Don't visit Portland without visiting Emilitsa.

Superb Greek food. Terrific service. Expensive, but worth the treat. We had gone for a celebration with friends; all were very pleased.

“Emilitsa: A Greek winner!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

We ate at this lovely Greek restaurant in October and can echo other TA reviewers good reviews too.

Service was friendly and efficient, the ambience is lovely
and of course the Greek menu mixes some of the old srandards with some new innovative items.

The Emilitsa business card says, "Enter as strangers, leave
as friends." You will do that and more at this very fine
dining venue.

My wife had the swordfish and I had the lamb ribs. Both
were excellent!

Bon appetit!
