Great food, service and community spirit. Home made baked goods, cookies right from the oven! Don't miss it!

“Good stop for coffee and pastries!”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

This is the island's stop for coffee and pastries in the morning. They don't have anything fancy like espressos, cappuccinos, or lattes, just several good coffees, and real half-and-half and milk on ice, not those awful little plastic containers. They have a variety of sodas and water as well. The morning pastries are scrumptious: chocolate croissants, raspberry croissants, strawberry danishes, big cinnamon rolls. At noon they have pretty good sandwiches too. They also have spinach and feta wrapped in a croissant. They make good lobster rolls, in addition.

Cons: There is long somewhat disorganized line in the morning, there's not much place to wait, and it's tiny with little seating. There is more seating outside, in the back and the front, where your dog can sit with you. They do seem to run out of things quickly.

“Yummy Breakfast Treats”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Just had the pastries which were very good. The Cafe itself is pretty small without much sitting space so on a rainy day your options are limited which is a shame since it smells so tasty!!

“Breakfast and lunch for islanders!”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

being an island resident , I can always count on a good breakfast sandwich "to go" on the ferry ride to Portland along with a selection of coffee and teas, or just sit in the cafe and be part of the morning hustle and bustle of residents and visitors. Lisa, Ellen and staff also prepare an excellent selection of freshly prepared sandwiches and home made soups!! And you can always count on the freshly baked morning sweets.

“Breakfast and views from sidewalk”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

Great place to stop on the way to the ferry for coffee and egg sandwich. Sat on picnic bench on sidewalk and enjoyed people watching as busiest place on the island.
