“At least it is cheap”
Reviewed August 9, 2013 via mobile

Not much good to say except it is a cheap place to stay. Also, although our room was pretty run down, my in-laws room had been refurbished. That said they were not too impressed as it was done with really cheap finishes (i saw their room snd agree) and the bathroom was filthy. Back to our room....we chose not to walk on the carpet barefoot because it was so filthy. We were supplied with one towel of each size. There was a strange unidentifiable glob in our sink drain that we had to stare at as we brushed our teeth. Yuck! I would not choose to stay here again. I know the pickings are slim in the area, but would try prays next time. I see there is also a bandb in unity.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Lovley’s Motel on January 5 and we had a great stay. This little motel is so cozy and cute and has quite a few amenities. We had a single non-smoking room and it had a refrigerator, microwave, and free wifi! The beds were comfy and the room was clean, including the shower…I’m always a stickler when it comes to the cleanliness of the shower. We were looking everywhere for a nice motel that allowed pets so we could bring our dog June (she’s part of the family!) and Lovley’s doesn’t even charge a pet fee! June loved the large grass areas they have on the property. The rooms are about $50 a night so don’t worry about breaking the bank either. This is a motel with great prices and great service. There are tons of places around the motel to eat and there’s also a bowling alley across the street so don’t worry about getting bored. The rooms aren’t huge but all the amenities and the super-friendly staff more than make up for it. I definitely recommend this motel to anyone in the area, it’s a wonderful place to stay!

Did one night here and wasn't too impressed by the room at all. We had a room round the back of the motel. There was a spider under the pillow, old bits of food behind the lamp stand and a bathroom straight out of 1958. Front desk staff was friendly and price was ok but wouldn't stay here again.

We booked this motel for one night, only because we HAD to be in the area early the next morning and couldn't find anything else. This motel is seriously overpriced and dated. The man at the desk was un-communicative and not at all helpful. The room was minimal, sheets worn and thin, flat pillows, no blankets, grubby bedspread with cigarette holes. Worst of all, there was "poop" on the toilet seat when we arrived! The worst $70 we have ever spent. DO NOT stay here.

It was late and raining and we were looking for a cheap motel room which was clean, apparently safe, and which did not have any evidence of bedbug activity. The room offered to us at Lovley's met those basic requirements. The motel is a large one and some of the other guests looked a bit sketchy. The room which they offered to us with a discounted rate on a Saturday night was large, clean, and smoke free. The bed was very comfortable and the mattress showed no signs of bedbug activity. The TV could barely muster images and should have been discarded long ago. Some of the furnishings were worn. The door had adequate locks and we could park our car outside the room. There are a number of fast food restaurants and a Walmart nearby and there is easy access to I95.

Room Tip: Check the room before you pay

We stayed there one night on a recent motorcycle trip because the rain was so bad we could not go on. the opposite side to the office is better but the units on the office side are probably the "Quickie in and out" rooms.

Would not want to use the toilets... never mind the showers.

On our way through a week later (returning trip) it again was pouring. We stopped to check out if the rooms were better. OMG.... There was throw-up in the shower... the place smelled..."Bad!".

The innkeeper apologized but we demanded refunds and decided to travel the extra half hour to Waterville Comfort Inn. :)

You've heard of "FleaBag Motel".... Well, this is one of them.
