“great family day out”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

This is a fantastic day out with lots to do for families. There is a beach, woodland and of course the lighthouse which has open days when you can tour the lighthouse. You would have to check when the lighthouse is open but we were lucky enough to get inside and climb the ladder to the top where the views are spectacular of the ocean and the distant mountains. it is nice to picnic on the beach during the summertime and plenty of room for children to play and explore. Next door is the transportation museum which is also well worth a visit. There is lots to do for a full day trip and it is a beautiful spot.

“Lovely park”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

Loved this park. Great rock-hopping - especially at low tide. Too cold to swim for me but there were a few little kids playing in the shallows. Went twice - once at low tide and again just as the tide was starting to go out. Was enjoying the view so much that I didn't leave enough time to do any of the hiking but the trails I saw looked nice. In fact, I wished I would have planned on spending the whole day there. On the drive out, we saw signs to McLoons Lobster Shack - GO!! It was great food, reasonable prices and beautiful view of a working lobster harbor. Much better experience than dining on the wharf in Camden where we were staying.

“Small and beautiful”
Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

We spent the day here recently hanging out on the rocks, sunbathing and reading. This park is small and quiet- a great place to just relax. Pack a picnic lunch and find your own quiet place to enjoy the day.
