Pushaw Lake Campground

We stayed two very long and loud nights at this campground. We have a small child and the playground was a dilapidated heap, very disappointing. It appears that all of the waterfront sites are rented by seasonal renters and the only available sites are pull through sites that look directly at other people junk piles and tacky decorations. Apparently the are no quiet hours because people were being loud and playing music until 2 am. We spent a lot of time shopping in Bangor just to get away from the campground. I have never packed up and left so early from a camping trip.

We reserved a tent site for the long 4th weekend. Check in was simple and the front woman was very friendly. The site was nice and tree shaded and the lake could be see thru the bushes. The bathroom was close by but too close. One of the nicest campground bathrooms I have seen. Clean and mainly bug free. The beach/swimming area is nice which was good since it was so hot many swimming trips where made. The view of the lake is so beautiful. On the night of the 4th there was a big firework display which was nice not having to leave the campground to see some. We bought firewood on sight and it was reasonably priced and they delivered it right to your site. The bugs where a little thick so bring the bug spray. It was a great stay and I hope to stay again.

Room Tip: I would ask for a site if possible near the cabins.
