A local institution, often copied, never equaled. This place has probably been using the same fry oil since my first visit in 1972, and that's a compliment! Fresh potatoes are crinkle cut and deep fried to a golden brown, but moist and tender. With salt and a hit of vinegar there's nothing else like them. My grandson pronounced them the best fries he ever ate. I get a box every time I return to Maine.
