Rooms are beautiful and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful from check in to the wait staff and bar tenders. The location is perfect! Walking distance to everything and beautiful ocean view. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at the Anchorage for two niights, Friday and Saturday during the Christmas By the Sea weekend in Ogunquit. The town and the Anchorage were very busy. Our room was in the Lightship building and has been updated/refurbished since our last visit two years ago. The room was one of if not the cleanest room we’ve ever stayed in for any hotel. Our housekeeper,Vanessa, takes obvious pride in her work. As I said the town and hotel were very busyand we did hear some late night revelers but nothing to cause any lost sleep. The only issue we had was at the 360 Restaurant, the cold temps dictate that there is no outside seating in the restaurant or the Circle 360 Bar upstairs so seating is at a premium. We first tried for a table in the bar but were told they were at capacity and we couldn’t get in we instead were directed to the 1st level restaurant where we were told that unless we had a reservation there was no seating available although there were several, at least a dozen empty tables and there was no waiting list to put our names on. We waited out in the cold with other guests for a chance at upstairs seating as patrons left that area, well several people (6) did leave but we were not offered these seats instead a group of four already inside at the restaurant were ushered upstairs, no explanation to us at all. We eventually were seated after a 45 minute wait out in the cold and there were still many many “reserved” tables empty at that time. I would suggest that the restaurant not accept reservations but instead have a waiting list and call ahead seating, this would ensure that all guests receive equal opportunity for service.

We have stayed here before but this was very enjoyable. We were close to the Christmas by the Sea parade. We were close the restaurant and it was great on a very cold night. I had a nice warm bowl of clam chowder- delicious!
Our room had a bench which was great to elevate our feet. Beds were very comfortable and housekeeping was very accomidatu.
All and all we loved our stay and our view.

Room tip: We had a room on the Starboard side and the picture below showed our view.

Only complaint was not being able to eat on 12/8 or do the lounge turned away too many people went to front desk to get help not be exception but guidance where to eat and they call and not take car to go unless sure place had room but didn't receive the kind of help expected. Such as taking our name for a spot maybe free up was told NO. The man who greeted us to not let us in never asked do you have reservation? just said can't come in! made us feel like wrong side of tracks and can't come in. Could have been handled much better.

We had a wonderful stay. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was roomy with great water pressure. The room was clean and quiet, ...very well sound proofed. Hoping to get a room with a fireplace next year!!!
