“Just what we needed”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

My husband and I needed a weekend away from work and the stress of "life"- the Puffin Inn and Ogunqit were just what we needed! Tim and Michele are wonderful hosts and innkeepers; the rooms are spotless, the food wonderful, and the conversation was informative and relaxed. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the Inn and town. The house was within walking distance to the Marginal Way which was beautiful. We enjoyed Perkins Cove and all the surrounding areas. Can't wait to go back!!

Great review! It's funny that you mentioned getting away from the stress of life and that our home provided just what you needed. One of the main reasons that we bought this Inn was the feeling of peace and relaxation we felt the moment we walked thru the doors. Means the world to us that other people feel it too. Please keep in touch and come see us again. Best, Michele and Tim

Everything was great, location walking distance to Ogunquit sips and restaurants and the Marginal Way walking path, Breakfast was somewhat unique creations and more than ample with everything freshly made, Innkeeper was terrific host and tour guide.

Room Tip: A bit quieter on the side away from the main road. Might not matter in Summer if running the AC.

I had never been to Ogunquit but my girlfriend had. However, this was a trip that changed our view on Ogunquit forever (and not because it was Kentucky Derby Weekend). Tim and Michele were the perfect B&B hosts; if you wanted to talk, they were there, if you wanted privacy, they completely respected that. Any questions you had regarding the town, surrounding area, running a B&B, or even great places to travel to (for example, St. John's in the Virgin Islands) were met with excitement and respectful honesty. The schedule for breakfast was flexible and without a doubt worth getting up for. The rooms were very well kept and charming. The icing on the cake were the homemade chocolate chip cookies left for us (very much appreciated after a Friday night of experiencing Ogunquit's famous piano bar). Almost all points of interest are just a short walk from the Puffin and the Puffin Inn's location just outside the center of town is a refreshing and relaxing plus. Without a doubt, we will be staying here again and recommending the Puffin Inn (already have become town criers for the Inn with our friends and families). The location is great, the breakfast is delicious, the rooms are just what you want, but the owners make the place truly unforgettable.

Room Tip: They're all good and if you have any questions Tim and Michele will give you an honest response.

We stayed here Memorial weekend. This place is a jewel in Ogunquit. Very nice place
and very comfortable. Easy walk to the Marginal Way and many restaurants. This place
is super clean. What makes this place, are the host. Tim and Michelle are the friendliest
people, that you will ever meet. They cater to your every need. We just enjoyed talking
with them. Let me tell you about the breakfast served each morning. These are homemade,
cooked to order breakfast. There are fresh breads, scones and fresh fruit served with yogurt
and Michelle's homemade granola !!! The French toast and breakfast pizza are awesome.
Everything so delicious !!!! Make sure to check the cookie tray by the door,in the afternoons.
Michelle makes these white chocolate / blueberry cookies that are simple amazing. You will
need more than just one,I did!!! Give this place a shot,it's a gem . Randy and Melissa

We stayed at the Puffin Inn B&B for one of my best girlfriends Bachelorette weekend. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by this charming Inn. The decor is so warm and inviting. The location is close to the beach/town and the innkeepers( Tim and Michelle) were AMAZING! Friday night Michele hosted a wine, chocolate and cheese tasting right there in the dining area off the porch which was perfect. Breakfast both mornings were delicious. I am big on Eggs Benedict and it didn't disappoint. Tim even chauffeured us into town so we didn't have to walk for my friends dinner and night out. The bride had a wonderful time and it was a great girls get away. I will certainly be coming back!!!!

Room Tip: Room 5 was cozy and roomy! Plenty of space and good sized bathroom.

I stayed at the Puffin Inn this past weekend with a group of my friends. We spent a few days in Ogunquit for a friend's bachelorette getaway. I have stayed at several B&B's before, but none of them compare to the experience that we had at the Puffin. From the very beginning, Michele and Tim were such wonderful hosts. They both went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our stay with them. Michele organized a wine and chocolate tasting for our group on the night of our arrival, which was fabulous. Tim chauffeured our group around town for dinner each night, so we could enjoy ourselves and celebrate safely (the trolly wasn't in season yet). All of our rooms were spotless and cozy, and our breakfasts each morning were delicious (two choices offered each day, served with fruit and breakfast pastries). I think what made the biggest impact on our stay was how genuine Michele and Tim are. We enjoyed spending time with them during meals and throughout the weekend. Overall, we had THE BEST experience at the Puffin and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ogunquit. We are all planning to return at some point in the future.

My fiancé and I were lucky enough to have received a free voucher to The Puffin Inn. Having been to Ogunquit before, my expectations were high. On arrival, one of the owners, Tim was outside doing yard work and welcomed us with a smile and a wave. He directed us inside were Michele was more than friendly. (Especially because we arrived 3 hours after normal check in) We were brought to our room (which I was half expecting to be the worst one because we had a voucher) and to our surprise it was the most adorable room. When you're on vacation, you don't need to worry so much about the room because there's constantly something to do but this room was hard to leave! Both Tim and Michele were very nice and friendly and were more then happy (and knowledgable) to offer restaurants in the area with deals and good food. I would recommend The Puffin Inn to everyone. This was the first time we had ever stayed at a B&B and we are already trying to plan when we can come back.

Hello again and thank you so much for this glowing review. We love hearing that although you've been to Ogunquit many times, the Puffin Inn was a place that you truly enjoyed and are planning to return after your wedding. I sent Noah and Sue a message yesterday letting them know how much you enjoyed your gift certificate and they were thrilled to hear it. Thanks again, best of luck with the wedding, and looking forward to seeing you again soon!
