Love the beach. Just can't say enough good about it. As stated previously in other reviews, just plan around high tide.

We managed to go almost at the peak of high tide (and our B&B hosts tried to warn us!) NOT too much beach left to sit on, but it was later in the day, so we did find a spot. IT's still a wonderful, long beach, and PRiME for people-watching!!

As a child I grew up going to the private Moody Beach and staying in a cottage this area has been what I call a beach. At low tide there is so much room that even when it is crowded. High tide can be tight but I am used to it. We always skip the main beach and head over to Footbridge Beach. The beach is all sand and no rocks. Even the Ogunquit river at high and mid tides can be fun for families and there is always people crabbing there.

This beach is one of the best I have ever been to in New England. The waves are incredible and the beach just keeps going and going. We walked 30 mins in one direction and we still weren't to the end! The entrance is always VERY crowded but if you arent afraid to walk a little ways, you can always get a spot. We always bring our own food and drinks, but there are snack shacks and restaurants at the entrance. The town of Ogunquit is also great to spend time in for dinner or shopping after a long day in the sun. If you walk down Marginal Way, two restaurants in particular that stand out are Jackies Too and MC Perkins Cove.
Have a blast and get there before the summer is over!

Incredible beach. Water is clean and cool. We love jumping in the current of the lazy river and going for a ride.
