“Delicious Food, Fast Service, Best Breakfast in Town.”
Reviewed June 20, 2010

Amore is as great as ever, fast service, delicious food and quite the selection. I note that many reviews talk of a 30 to 60 minute wait. We were just there in mid-June and even then there may be a wait: the first time we were there it was about a fifteen minute wait on a Saturday, yet the second time there was no wait on a Friday morning. We were there both times around 1030. The restaurant is light, open, sunny and airy and quite cheeful. We had the eggs benedict, French toast, scrambled eggs and all were delicious. One will have to decide how long one is willing to wait but it is the best breakfast in Ogunquit.

“Amore - Love is their main ingredient!!”
Reviewed May 25, 2010

We went on a tip from a local resident and we were not disappointed. Yes as many of the reviews stated we had to wait about 25 minutes on a Saturday morning. It was a beautilful sunny day so waiting outside with your cup of coffee only added to the experience. Once inside the atmosphere was very quaint but the best was yet to come. The service was wonderful and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The menu is not your typical eggs and bacon. It was full of very interesting and intrigueing, almost too difficult to make up one's mind. My wife asked for a variation and they were very open to making anything we wanted. I chose their lemon flavored french toast with blueberry/cream cheese filling and it was the best french toast I've ever eaten. We will definitely return and the owner made a point of coming around to see if we enjoyed our breakfast. It is truly a labor of LOVE!!

“The corn beef hash--if they offer it--is something special”
Reviewed May 18, 2010

This is the second time we have been to Ogunquit over the past year, and the second time we have had one of those "special breakfasts" at Amore.

The difference this time is that they have moved to a new location. The design preserves the themes of the prior crowded room, with efficiencies and a modern touch that keeps true to this wonderful breakfast restuarant's traditions.

The breakfasts are always outstanding. Today we had a walnut waffle (with Maine syrup, which was $2 extra) and an egg white Greek omelette which was excellent.

The service was attentive and superb, and it would be difficult to go wrong here.

That said, they have the most unique corn beef hash we have eaten anywhere in the country. It is not chopped to little pieces (my wife says I should use the word "not minced" for you cooks out there). It is more like pulled or shredded without a lot of potatoes to dilute the corn beef.

No matter the description, it is a delicious highlight, if it is available (it is not on the menu and was offered to us as a "special").

This popular Ogunquit breakfast eatery is deserving of all its accolades. And if you have an extra moment and are so inclined, read the information on the menu about their history and about their recommendations where to go/eat/discover Ogunquit.

What a great find! This place opened about one year ago, the owner used to have a restaurant up the road on Shore Drive near the library. The restaurant is very clean and friendly. We had to wait a little bit to be seated but we didn't mind, it was well worth it. Steve, our waiter, was great... he was super friendly and gave us some names of different stores to shop at... all of which we loved. The food was terrific and reasonable priced. I highly recommend! We will definitely go back there to eat on our next visit.

Amore Breakfast is the BEST breakfast place I have ever been!!! DELICIOUS food, EXCELLENT service and the most PLEASANT atmosphere!!! !( Also, very clean!!) Decor is not typical. Retro look with vintage signs, black, red and white ...a very fun and cool concept.
French toast, waffles, eggs, bacon, lattes, homefries.....all just superb!!! Prices are extremely reasonable.
Cafe next door is adorable! Great gifts for anyone.....candles, t-shirts, maple syrup, coffee, mugs, hats, kitchen items, etc.
Coffee self serve while you wait!!!!!
Really looking forward to many more visits!!!
