My partner and I have a place in Wells and therefore spend a lot of time in the Ogunquit area. The Front Porch is a well known landmark in dowtown Ogunquit that should not be missed on your visit. Upon entering there is a lounge/bar area to your left that provides some additional seating for dining and on the right is the remainder of the seating. Upstairs is an additional bar with hightop seating. This is also the piano bar where one can sing a long to showtunes from years past all the way to current music such as Lady Gaga. Food can also be ordered upstairs if a more social/less formal environment is desired. I find the food to be pretty good at Front Porch although some items are more favorable then others. The drinks prices are a bit steep and certainly less strong then what you'll get across the road at Maine Street. If we do eat it tends to be an appetizer or two while listening to the piano music upstairs. If anything, come for this experience and bring a few friends as its both entertaining and fun!

Our B&B recommended Front Porch and they were so right! Ate a full meal there the first night and everything was delicious! I had the Haddock on a bed of mashed potatoes and it was superb! We sat in the bar area and really loved the atmosphere. Came back the next night and sat at the bar and had some of their fresh cut french fries and beers. Both the server the first night and the two bartenders the next night were awesome! They may not be on the water - but they have the right recipe for a great dining experience! Would highly recommend!!!

The Front Porch is about average for Ogunquit although I don’t expect much from this town in the way of quality service. The town overall seems to take their tourist dollars for granted with a few exceptions.
The place overall is clean and well kept although a little noisy for my liking. The chowder, salad with a yummy blueberry vinaigrette, and burger with sweet potato fries are all very good. Wait staff is mostly attentive and friendly.
The only real rough spot in the place is one of the managers who sometimes hosts. There is one hostess who is very nice to deal with. I did not get any names, but she is a younger girl with dark hair. She was very nice and took our names and let us knows how long it would be to get a seat. However, there was a middle-aged woman (maybe a manger?) who has been out front a few times that behaves more like a bouncer. She was very short and dismissive with us in answering questions about the upstairs bar and the restaurant in general. The owners might want to consider keeping this woman somewhere away from customers. She is somewhat of a deterrent. I think it’s important to keep pleasant people, like the younger dark haired girl, up front as this is the first person a customer sees when the approach the restaurant.

Ate here twice while on a 4 day trip to Ogunquit and both meals were excellent. Service was also terrific. I had the Brick Chicken and it was flawless, quite tasty as was my appetizer, the clam chowder. Second trip was for the burgers (ate on the bar side) and it was delicious. Both meals were easy and not rushed, atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. This is a go-to place if you are stopping in Ogunquit.
