“Excellent breakfast”
Reviewed August 14, 2014

Fully recommend the Cove Cafe at Perkins Cove. Really good value and excellent breakfast menu. Very popular in the summer so best to get there early. Staff very helpful and friendly, and able to understand our Australian accent!

“Good breakfast, reasonable price”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

My husband kept asking to go to the Cove Cafe for breakfast - so we headed out Wednesday morning. We were expecting a packed place, and arrive around 745am to just a few customers and were lucky enough to get one of the two coveted parking spots. I decided to have the stuffed blueberry french toast and was not disappointed. The blueberries were fresh and the cream cheese was a great addition. My husband got the spinach and crab omelette. The omelette was a great size and served with a side of potatoes. There is a ton of history in this restaurant and a continuous playing of the harbor and how it was dredged by hand. It was pretty neat. The server Kellee was good, and helpful in helping us find some things to do on a not so sunny day. Like the title says - good breakfast and reasonably priced. You can't go wrong with eating here.

“Excellent Breakfast!”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

We stopped into The Cove Cafe after packing our car to leave after a wonderful week in Perkins Cove. We were not disappointed. The breakfast specials of the day were wonderful. Friendly service and delicious coffee, too. The cook rings a ship's bell when an order is up; that was cute, as we were on the harbor. It was a great choice for breakfast, the waffles with fresh fruit were fabulous. They were topped with some kind of sweet, buttery, whipped cream, not from a can. The omelette special was loaded with fresh vegetables and fresh basil and mozzarella cheese. We should have come here earlier in the week, and not waited until check-out day to try it.

“Yummy Breakfast Nook in Perkins Cove”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

Had breakfast there 3 morning's on our last trip to Ogunquit. Really convenient to where we stay across the at the Riverside Motel, open promptly at 7AM. A small restaurant, seating maybe 20 or so plus a half dozen at the counter. Had scrambled eggs and sausage one day, blueberry pancakes with bacon the next and a western omelet the third day. Costs maybe $20 for 2 people plus tip. Two of my dishes came with toast and breakfast potatoes. The coffee is good and they keep your cup full. Had a different waitress every day which was a surprise with a small place but real nice and check on you regular. Good food on your table 2 minutes after it hits the plate so I highly recommend the Cove Cafe.

“Food just okay, but what was that smell???”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

We went here on some recommendations. When we walked in I got a terrible smell - like dirty sewer. I thought it was just my imagination and let it go - thinking it would pass. We ordered our food which was just okay, nothing special. My coffee mug had seen better days - the decals on the outside of it were falling off - kind of gross. The smell never went away and it spoiled my whole breakfast. In retrospect, we should have spoken up about the smell and the nasty coffee cup - but we didn't. We will not go back.
