Stopped in on a friend's recommendation on a Monday evening around 7:30 pm after spending the day exploring Portland. Evidently not having a reservation was my first sin (although the restaurant was only half full), my second must have been wearing cargo shorts. We were seated within a couple minutes, given menus and gave our drink orders. Drinks arrived, orders placed, seeing our waitress again only when our food was delivered and again as was the bill. No bread, nor apologies just the acknowledgement "the girl didn't bring you bread". The Pan Seared Scallops and Lobster Pasta In Cream Sauce were both excellent, however the whole experience left me feeling "tolerated" as a guest. Next time I'll try long pants and a reservation as the food was worth giving them another chance.

Our friends from Kennebunkport recommended this restaurant - we were not disappointed. The restaurant is quite charming- what you would expect from an older inn. The menu was one of the most extensive I have seen. There was something for everyone. Some of our party had seafood and others steak and chicken. All were delighted with their selection. The restaurant is kid friendly and also had a nice looking bar if you just wanted a drink.

It's cozy and friendly. Our server has been there for years and makes the whole experience really nice. There were four of us. We had a bunch of appetizers which were excellent. I would definitely recommend giving it a try. Next time, we'll have dinner.

We had a wonderful evening at the Old Village Inn which is a great restaurant in an old historic home in Ogunquit village. Our server, Marcia was very pleasant and efficient and made the meal very enjoyable. The lamb chops were delicious and my husband had the salmon which he loved. We shared crab cakes to start and they were great, a lot of crab and not filler! Best surprise of the night was the wine list. Wonderful wines, super reasonably priced. Most restaurants triple the price of the wine but our server told us that the owner makes it a policy to provide good wines and to keep them very reasonable. For this reason and the quality of the food and great atmosphere, I recommend you try this place for dinner. It was a very nice surprise!

We loved the atmosphere in the Old Village Inn. The restaurant is dimly lit, quiet and comfortable. The escargot appetizer and the stuffed shrimp and duck entrees were all delicious. Our waitress was terrific. We look forward to visiting again on a return trip to Ogunquit in the fall.
