“Outstanding food and service”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

We headed up to Maine for a weekend getaway fairly last minute. We'd never stayed in Ogunquit before - only passed through it. We were at the Meadowmere which is next door. We walked over as they share a parking lot. We were seated at a lovely table which gave us a nice view of most of the restaurant - beautiful rooms, sky lights, trees outside with white lights on them but the thing we found most interesting was the art work - the are we were sitting in had artwork on the walls created by school children in the area schools. What a neat and original concept. Our server was Ryan, and he was outstanding. He was very thorough and attentive. I'm not a vegetarian but had the vegetarian meal because it sounded so good - and indeed it was! I ate the entire meal - unfortunately we had no room for desert. The atmosphere was wonderful, we weren't rushed, the service was impeccable and the food amazing. We went back for breakfast Sunday morning before we left and had the same experience - we'd go back anytime! Try it if you're in Ogunquit - the prices were reasonable too.

“Another incredible dinner”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

we have been to Jonathans's a couple of times for wine tasting dinners. tonight we just wanted a nice dinner and the ability to watch the Patriots game. Ate at the bar, Nell was awesome! She recommended the braised short ribs, they were incredible! Nell was attentive, on point, and a positive reflection of the restaurant. Highly recommend Jonathan's, you will not regret it, the chef is awesome, the staff very attentive. Tell Nell Sherri and Paul said hi!

“Fantastic Anniversary Dinner!”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

I took my girlfriend here for our 5 year anniversary dinner and planned to have 2 dozen roses sent to the restaurant when she arrived. Larry coordinate everything and got everything ready for me. Jonathan's completely goes out of their way to make you have the best possible experience there. Larry fixed up the flowers, put it in a vase(that we got to keep), and made it look beautiful when we got to the table. I appreciate it very much and it is not the typical service you receive at other restaurants, it is fantastic!

Now onto the food...

Every Thursday in January they have "Prime Rib Night, which means that the prime rib costs $8.95. The price simply cannot be beat. We ordered 2 prime ribs, Oyster Rockefeller, and Baked Artichoke hearts. It was absolutely delicious! They gave us 2 warm biscuits that melted in our mouth and let us try the Chef's soup of the day(potato and leak). The food is top notch and you cannot beat the prices. We came all the way from MA for our special dinner and it was so worth it. They had a jazz player in the restaurant too and it was just the perfect dining experience.

They also have a GREAT deal on www.restauraunt.com. I purchases a $25 gift for only $6.There are some restrictions but it is worth looking into.

I would HIGHLY recommend Jonathan's for a casual night out with family or a special occasion because they make you feel right at home. The food is fantastic and you will not regret your decision to go there.

“Perfect quiet new years eve”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

The early seating was quick and efficient, drinks were great. Inside of restaurant was not very decorated for the holiday but that wasn't a complaint as far as in concerned. We has a nice table for two at the large windows into the courtyard which was nicely decorated for the winter.
It was a prepaid price fixe menu, which I found reasonable. We both started with the Maine lobster bisque (we had a choice of 5 starters), decadent, rich, lots of butter. Second came a Bibb lettuce salad, just the right size, lightly dressed, was yummy. Entrees...my bride had braised short ribs with mashed potato and asparagus, was very good. I had chateaubriand and it was cooked perfectly. Ray was our waiter, he was on top of everything. He had a minimum of 12 tables he was handling and no one wanted for anything. He was awesome. For us it was our new year and anniversary meal, and it was the perfect start to another year together. Facility itself fits the beach resort town, is a bit dated and under decorated, but I was there for the food so it's cool
