My daughter and I were planning to have brunch at a restaurant in Ogunquit, but discovered it was not open. So we went up the road to another restaurant - the Roost - which a neighbor had just that morning recommended. His favorable recommendation was right on. We walked into an upbeat and friendly restaurant. There was a fire going in the fieldstone fireplace - the placement of tables and the fire gave a very cozy and relaxed feel to the room. The waiter was friendly and the food was absolutely wonderful. We were able to try gluten free muffins and pancakes. How could we have missed this gem; we will definitely go again to the Roost for breakfast. By the way, this room and an adjacent room, which also boasts a fireplace, are available for dinner too.
