My daughter and I were planning to have brunch at a restaurant in Ogunquit, but discovered it was not open. So we went up the road to another restaurant - the Roost - which a neighbor had just that morning recommended. His favorable recommendation was right on. We walked into an upbeat and friendly restaurant. There was a fire going in the fieldstone fireplace - the placement of tables and the fire gave a very cozy and relaxed feel to the room. The waiter was friendly and the food was absolutely wonderful. We were able to try gluten free muffins and pancakes. How could we have missed this gem; we will definitely go again to the Roost for breakfast. By the way, this room and an adjacent room, which also boasts a fireplace, are available for dinner too.

My partner and I discovered Roost Cafe several years ago, when they were in Cape Neddick. Whenever we vacationed in Maine, this was where we had lunch. We now live in Ogunquit and were thrilled to see the Roost was moving to Shore Road. It's our go-to place for dinner now. The atmosphere, the friendly owners, and the food, of course -- everything is first-rate. The salads are excellent, their chef is creative and imaginative, and the food is consistently delicious. I usually have the steak tips or ginger mango chicken, but you can't go wrong with any one of your choices.

We have been going to Ogunquit for many years. This time we decided to try Roost Cafe and Bistro. The atmosphere as soon as you walk in is so warm and inviting. The staff makes you feel like you are visiting family. The menu is creative, the food is delicious and the bar has anything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed the Scallops and everything else we had. You really shouldn't miss this place on your next visit to Ogunquit. Right on Shore Road.

This gem in Ogunquit, Maine is the perfect location whether you are looking for a romantic dinner experience, a quick eats and drinks, or a hangout to get to meet great people and enjoy an incredible drink. From their extremely reasonably priced ecclectic menu (not to memtion their fantastic pub menu) to their wild martinis and specialty cocktails. Roost Cafe and Bistro caters to all walks from the crowds of locals to the many travrllers. The ambience is like no other. They have a beautiful tree all lit up against a dark brown ceiling in their bar and the intimate dining settings are equally outstanding. Not to mention their private dining area located on the too floor for private functions. I suggest a stop in by any and all to taste some of the delightful treats Roost Cafe and Bistro's Maine based ex military chef has to offer. On a scale of 1-10 i give this place a 15...

The Roost has excellent food, service, and atmosphere. We have enjoyed sitting at the beautiful bar after hours several times. Recently, we called ahead to make reservations and mentioned that a few members of our group were vegan. The chef prepared a special dinner that was incredible. Clearly, The Roost aims to please and accommodate. All members of our group, both vegan and non, found the dining experience exceptional. I highly recommend The Roost!!!!
