This must be about the 5th time we have stayed at this hotel and our trip to Ogunquit would not be complete without staying here. We opted to upgrade to a suite this time for an extra $35 a night which in our opinion was very worthwhile.

I really do not have any criticisms of the Gorgeous George which for obscure reasons we have nicknamed the hotel. Its easy to find, plentiful free parking, lovely, helpful people on the front desk, good restaurant (only open for breakfast this time round). A trouble free and extremely pleasant stay which has always been the case when we have been here.

Check out the Omelette Factory over the road for a superb breakfast, though you may have to queue at weekends. The Lobster Pound a few yards up is also worth a visit. Ogunquit is a very nice place to visit and centrally located for the factory malls, leaf peeping or whatever else you want to do in Maine.

Ogunquit, Maine: Absolutely Wonderful
We have stayed at Gorges Grant for at least the last eight or nine years. Some times two or three times a year. We would not consider going to another hotel. The service is fantastic. The people at the front desk are very polite and helpful. The housekeeping crew is very thorough.
We have also enjoyed many great breakfasts at Raspberries. The food is delicious.
I would not hesitate to tell all my friends about Gorges Grant.

Upon arrival at the hotel we were upgraded from a standard to premium room at no extra charge. The room was spacious, freshly decorated and immaculate. Seemed to be newly renovated. Many features were higher end than what you'd expect from a 3* hotel. Front staff were friendly and we had no problems at all. Our room faced onto the back of the property so it was nice and quiet. The bed was so comfy we overslept!

While the hotel is not in the heart of the action, it is only a short (approx. 10 minute) walk to the beaches, restaurants, etc.

Best value for the money I've ever had! We paid $109 for this room and were really impressed.

We were very satisfied with our stay at the Gorges Grant. We went for the standard room with 2 queen beds. Nice, clean second floor room. Quiet enough without much hall noise. A bit pricey but we didn't want to take a chance on some of the cheaper places, due to reviews posted here.

A little pricey but stayed in a deluxe room which was very large and very nice. All staff were very nice and helpful. restaraunt only served breakfast, it was above average. Pools were fine, amybe a little smaller than they appear in pics. Hot tub was below average. Grounds and other areas were very well done. The crowd seemed more like couples or familes with older kids, not many young kids.

overall a very pleasant stay and if traveling abck to Oquniquit will stay again.

We stayed at Gorges Grant Hotel for two nights in July 2008. Had never been to Maine, and stayed in NH the night before at a crummy Motel 6, so this was such a pleasure!!!

Hotel was immaculate, as were grounds. Room was more than comfortable. We used the indoor pool and spa which were both very clean and pleasant. Staff members at front desk were extremely helpful, even printed a map for us from Mapquest when we asked for directions back to NH; great customer service. Housekeeping was top notch.

Gorges Grant has a trolley stop in front of it, which couldn't have been more convenient. Location was ideal -- we just took the trolley, which was a great way to sightsee.

My only complaint was the $210 we pai.d each night, but I'm sure there weren't many other hotels in the area that would compare to Gorges Grant. We would definitely stay there again!!

My grandsons and myself have been staying at Gorges Grant every summer for a weekend for over seven years. They love it there and look forward to it every year. We would not consider staying anywhere else, it is convenient, the staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and bright. It even has coin operated washer and dryers (a must when you travel with children).
