Jacqui opens up her lovely home and garden to us travellers looking for something special. I wanted to feel like I was in Maine, not just discover marginal walk or dine on famous Maine lobster and seafood. Jacqui has spent most of her life here and her knowledge exceeded any guide book.

Her warm hospitality, wine and cheese evenings on the verandah and delicious breakfasts in the garden or family room are what we remember.

Jacqui took us for a tour around Ogunquit to help us get our bearings and briefed us about the restaurants.
It was interesting to listen to her son's lively stories about growing up in Ogunquit and to meet fellow travellers and hear about their experiences over a glass of wine.

We stayed in the Log Cabin king which overlooked the back garden with iris's in full bloom. The room and en suite bathroom were spacious and immaculate. The comfortable bedding and quiet nights meant we slept well and the private entrance to our bedroom was quick and easy for baggage. Ogunquit served as a great base for visiting the coastline of Maine. Couldn't have asked for better value or a nicer home away from home.

Almost home is a gem! Jacqui (the innkeeper) clearly takes a lot of pride in her inn and it shows. The rooms were large, comfortable, and immaculate. The locations is close enough to the main part of town to walk, but far enough that it is quiet and low-key. The breakfasts are delicious - bring your appetite! We will definitely stay here again!

We loved staying at Almost Home Inn – it truly had an at-home feel to it, thanks to innkeeper Jacqui’s gracious hospitality. Our room was very large with an enormous, comfortable bed. The living and outside areas were also welcoming and comfortable. We also liked the location, just off the main drag of Ogunquit and away from the crowds of “downtown.” There was a trolley stop nearby, so getting around was a cinch (although we chose to walk everywhere). Jacqui’s breakfasts were delish. In addition to providing a wonderful environment at the inn, she was instrumental in our getting some great tickets to the local theater. We’ll be going back every summer.

We atayed at that B&B for two nights with our (4) parents. We had the second floor to our selves. The rooms were spacious and well lighted. The king size beds were firmed and cudly. The hostess Jacqui was the best we have seen in years. Her pleasure was to serve us and ensuring that we had everything we needed.

The breakfast were freshed and tastfull. If I can recommend a B&B this is the place to go. Situated at app. 10 minutes walk to reach the beach.

I want to bring my parents next year and we will stay at that place for sure. For Canadians this is the place to feel like we are in Quebec.

We also had some of her wine and cheese in the afternoon. I can also recommend their wines (Four Wines Red and specially their naked Chardonnay).

There is a reason why Almost Home is #2 on Tripadvisor. Jacqui is absolutely the best! I expected a lot after reading all the great reviews and it def lived up to all of my expectations! She is so warm and makes you feel like family. She made our trip so much more memorable and fun by giving us all the great tips on where to go and see. After a long day of sightseeing/beach, you come back and share your day with other guests while drinking wines and cheese. Her homemade breakfasts are also delicious! If you're ever in Ogunquit, stay here!

Jacqui is the best innkeeper ever! She was so nice. We felt like we were staying with family. Her breakfasts are to die for. The wine and cheese was wonderful. We also loved spending each night by the camp fire in the back. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Maine. Thanks for everything Jacqui! Hope to see you again soon.
