At the Shore Road entrance to the Marginal Way, an Ogunquit crown jewel, rests the Seacastles; an unassuming beach colonial facing the sea.

At Seacastles, the gem is around the back.
A clean, well maintained pool and spa.

At the door step a ten minute walk to beach, town or an athletic run to Perkins Cove. Too tired from relaxing? Just take the trolley. No car needed.

Looking to explore the area? A jaunty fifteen minute ride south on Shore Road puts you at Cape Neddick Lobster Pound, call for reservations, and enjoy a tranquil western view of sea marsh and tidal river. Further south discover the Yorks and beaches and swing north on Route 1 for a quicker return to the Seacastles.

Make one evening available for the Ogunquit Lobster Pound, just north on Route 1, and pick your new lobster buddy right from their lobster pools! When satiated an easy ride back to your hot tub spa will ease the guilt over your buddy's demise.

Return to the Seacastles year round! The value seasons are especially tasty in their savings, and many rooms have a kitchenette for handy brew-up and ‘calm me downs’ from all the relaxation, and guilt.

Oh? So, you’ve forgotten your little lobster buddy so soon?

Room Tip: Loft rooms 206 to 209 face the ocean with decks and a bedroom above creates a meeting space walk-in...

My partner and I stayed here from 9/5 thru 9/9. We arrived early and we were allowed to park our car in the lot and explore the town while our room was prepared. The front desk staff member, Patty, who checked us in was gracious and she helped with information such as where to find the nearest gas station! Ogunquit is small and the gas stations are quite hidden unless you know where to go!

We stayed in a studio suite facing the front lawn with a view of the Marginal Way. This property is directly across the street from the entrance and what a view as you walk the paved path along the shore! The room itself is quite large and we were pleased to find extra pillows in the closet for the bed. There is a small kitchenette which has a fridge/freezer, a stove, microwave, coffee maker, and cupboards filled with basic needs like silverwear, plates, and cups etc. There is a small TV and a VCR in the room, but having a DVD player would have been more practical. We travel with a laptop so we just hooked up that and watched movies that way.

As reviewers have said, the interior look of the room feels dated. True, upgrading the furnishings and adding more warm lighting would improve the first impression but you need to put things in perspective. We were not in our room much, as there is so much to see and do in Ogunquit and the surrounding area. Basically, we slept in a comfortable bed and it was blissfully free from noise. We liked having the fridge available to stash goodies from the local sweet shops! It was clean, housekeeping kept the room neat and tidy. There is also a patio with chairs and a table to sit out on and people watch which is a nice touch! We did have a small issue with the sliding closet door coming off the track. We informed the front desk and they had fixed within two hours while we were out exploring.

There is a nice indoor swimming pool and it actually is deep! What a treat in the days of hotels now that have 'mini pools' that only go 3 feet max. There is also a large indoor hot tub with powerful jets that help relax those tired muscles from all that walking! We took advantage of both most nights and often we had the fortune of having it all to ourselves! There is an outdoor hot tub as well, but we never tried it. It looked inviting none the less!

We had a wonderful vacation even though the rain from tropical storm LEE moved in and kept us wet for most of it. There were enough shops between Ogunquit and Perkins Cove to keep us busy despite the lack of quality beach time.

The Seacastles provided a lovely home base upon which to explore the coast of Southern Maine. We were happy with the location, the room, and the price for the stay which was reasonable when compared to many others in the immediate area. We look forward to returning to this seaside escape! Thank you for the wonderful vacation memories!

Its time I do some type of review on this Hotel since we stay here just about every other weekend during the summer months, The property is located in the heart of all the Ogunquit action, you are just steps away from some of the best restaurants and bars in town along with the Marginal Way being just across the street presenting some of the most breathtaking views of the ocean and beach.

The rooms are fairly modern, clean and do have a full kitchen with coffee maker and microwave.

There are a number of different types of rooms you can rent, we rent the same room all the time which is located on the second floor in which case gives you a bit better view.

You also have use of an Indoor pool, outdoor hot tub and indoor jacuzzi, a huge deck to lounge on along with a great manicured lawn with tables and lounge chairs to relax and enjoy a drink or two. There is also a laundry facility if you need one.

Prices in season run from $200 on up depending on room not including tax. Prices are more then compatible for the surrounding area.

We love our little loft apartment with a full kitchen! We each have a TV. One in the living room and one in the loft bedroom. We can walk out the door, cross the street and take the path right to the ocean. Amazing! When we called, Richard was very helpful. And when we checked in, Richard was very efficient and friendly. Three days was not nearly long enough so we are planning another trip soon.

my husband and I have stayed at seacastles a number of times -- always off-season -- we had a deluxe suite with a full kitchen, since our plan was to flee from the family back home and cook our own turkey dinner for two. thanks to seacastles, this was all possible and was accomplished in a clean, spacious and nicely appointed suite. The staff was helpful and unobtrusive.

i really enjoyed the stay, i only went for two nights but the hotel was situated in the middle of everything. the marginal way (beautiful long walkway by the beach) was located only steps away from the hotel door! all shops and restaurants are in walking distance, it was a little cold mid may so i suggest going between june and august. honestly a beautiful place.
