This is a very sweet little hotel. It's spotlessly clean. All the rooms are suites. We had a nice sitting room, an area with a refrigerator and a microwave, and a sink. A nice sized bedroom with a king-sized bed and a private balcony, and a private bath. It's within walking distance to Perkins Cove and the shopping area of Ogunquit. It's a little older, but that's part of it's charm. The staff all were wonderful. Very helpful. There is a trolley stop in front of the hotel, if you don't want to walk. We were very, very happy with the Grand. I would definitely recommend it!!!

I love the Grand Hotel. The staff on duty this trip, (my second this month) was excellent. Everyone we came in,to contact with was extremely friendly and helpful. My "disappointment" came when we were assigned a "corner room" which had a large window rather than one of their beautiful sectional sofas. Other than that, we had a small problem with a running toilet which was addressed quickly. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable as well as a good size! The location is excellent--a trolley stop in front of the door, a short walk to Perkins Cove and Marginal Way--which should not be missed! I would love to go back for a few days in September--the problem is that they are already booked solid!

Dear Dorothy H, Thank you for the very nice review of your repeat stay at The Grand Hotel. We are happy to hear our location suited your needs so well and that you would love to come back in September. We do still have availability and would welcome the opportunity to work with you on specific dates. We are also very happy to accommodate specific room requests (based on availability). We are sorry to hear you were inconvenienced by the "running" toilet but happy to hear it was a quick and easy fix. Although our everyday mission is to prevent a guest from being impacted by a maintenance issue, mechanical things to occasionally break down. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we resolved the issue. Thank you for choosing The Grand Hotel. Hope to see you in September!

We reserved 2 adjoining rooms for a family vacation. Not sure if we got special rooms, but they were suites with full living rooms and bedrooms. It was very hot outside and the a/c worked great! We had a giant porch off our rooms - the only thing missing was a sun umbrella on the table. This hotel is centrally located between perkins cove and the main downtown area so perfect to walk to either. It was very quiet and located right next to a perfect street to exit out of Ogunquit without having to drive through all the local and Route 1 traffic. It is nothing extremely fancy or romantic but a perfect place for a family getaway.

Dear Bette64, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay with us. The heat wave we experienced during your stay challenged guests, staff and air conditioners. We are very pleased to report that all held up to the challenge! We don't often experience that kind of heat for that length of time here in southern Maine. We are also pleased to hear the layout of our suites and our location worked so well for you. We have noted your comment about umbrella's on the deck and will add your suggestion for review. Thank you for staying with us and enjoy the rest of the summer!

Everthing was great. The service, the room (we had an upgrade penthouse with private balcony) the pool, the location were perfect. The only thing we suggest them to review is their breakfast commodity. There is no place to eat. You have to go in your room. The continental breakfast is OK, but for the price of the rooms, that could be a little bit more.

Dear Raymonde G, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at The Grand Hotel on TripAdvisor. We are very pleased to hear you were happy with your suite and our location. We were disappointed to hear that you found the Continental Breakfast we offer lacking. Unfortunately, we lack the physical space needed to setup tables where you could actually have breakfast in the lobby. Our guests generally take their food back to their rooms or private decks. We do place a lot of importance on suggestions made by our guests and will certainly review and discuss the items we offer for breakfast. We sincerely appreciate your review and suggestions and we thank you for staying at The Grand Hotel.

This hotel is located in the central part of the town; close to Perkins Cove and about 20 minutes walk from the main beach. We had all we expected from this hotel: a quiet, clean large room with a small kitchenet, a fridge and a balkony. The hotel has also an inside pool and a jakuzzi(you can also use the outside pool at the sister hotel "Pink Rose") . The staff was always ready to help us. The breakfast was Ok, but might be better; fruits were not very fresh and the boiled eggs were the only sourse of proteins. We stayed in July and we recomend this hotel for a short summer vacation.

Room Tip: Try to avoid rooms 107, 108, 109. These rooms are at the entrancy, just in front of the reception and dinning room. The room 105 is very quiete.
