Great place to stay--super clean, friendly, and affordable. The pools and hot tub were nice and having a nice big fridge and a microwave allowed us to have lunch at the resort--more cash for lobster dinners! Next time we have a craving for the Maine beach, we'll likely go back to the Mariner!

We just spent our 9th year in Ogunquit and have always stayed at the Mariner Resort. This is a lovely, clean, comfortable place to stay. Everyone is friendly and very accomodating . The owners are very nice people that you will see everyday working to keep everything in immaculate condition. A nice continental breakfast is served every morning.
You can ride the trolley which stops across the road if you do not want to drive into the village or you can walk.

We found this gem by accident - only planning to stay one night. When we saw our view and the clean, spacious room, we immediately requested another night. Our room was on the corner of the building which gave us a wonderful view of the grasses along the Ogunquit river. There is an outdoor and indoor pool in addition to the hot tub. Everyone - staff and guests - was friendly and remarkably quiet. I recommend taking the trolly into the shopping area - traffic is terrible in the evening. The trolley stop was directly across from the hotel. A footbridge to the beach was just down the street. This motel was a great find!

Room Tip: Rooms at the far end of the two buildings had great views.

We had dilemma: we needed a place for just a one-night stay in Ogunquit that wouldn't break the bank. Many places required minimum stays and others were way too expensive for what we wanted/needed. The Mariner fit our needs perfectly. It's not a luxury resort but the rooms and property are clean and well maintained. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was quite large and had a refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable and free wireless was available. There was an outdoor corridor and each room had a couple of chairs in front of it--I was worried some folks might be outside making noise at night but that wasn't a problem.
There are 2 pools on the property--one indoor and one outdoor--and lots of families with children seemed to be enjoying them. There is a shuttle stop nearby and you can also walk to the beach.
This is a nice spot for those seeking a clean, pleasant spot for a reasonable price.

We try to get to Maine at least a couple of times a year. We always stay at the Mariner. Great Location, Very helpful staff and the big one the rooms are immaculate. Were hoping to get back once more sometime in the Fall. We'll see you then.

Room Tip: Reserve well in advance. We didn't this time and had to stay somewhere else our first night.

My granddaughter and I were on a bus tour so this was the choice for our motel. It was a very pleasant experience. We stayed here for 4 nights. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and my Granddaughter enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub.

There's nothing fancy about the Mariner, but it is a well maintained, clean, and comfortable place and the staff were all friendly. The "light" continental breakfast included fresh fruit, yogurt, baked goods, cereals, and juice and was better than I expected.

I would certainly recommend the Mariner to families, and would consider returning if travelling there with kids.

It is a long but certainly doable walk into town and a shorter walk to the wonderful Footbridge beach. The walk might be a bit too long to do with kids.
