We loved our weekend stay here at The Mariner Resort. The rooms were comfortable, spotless, and well equipped with a small table and chairs, regular sized fridge, and microwave.
We enjoyed the continental breakfasts, coffee served all day, and the two pools, one indoor, one outdoor.
We also liked the location which is close to Wells and just a bit away from the crowded village in Ogunquit. We in fact chose to eat dinner each night in Wells and found it too be less hectic.

The view at the resort is lovely as you see the marsh and sea just beyond the resort property.
The trolley to town is a quick walk away, though there can be delays. We chose not to use the trolley for this reason.

The owners are very attentive to the small requests we had and they keep the resort in wonderful condition. Each staff member we spoke with was friendly and helpful.
We even purchased friendship bracelets in the reception area which were made by the owner's daughter, our kids were delighted with them. The bracelets provided a nice memory of this special family get away. We didn't have to go far to shop!

This is a standard type beach hotel with outdoor rooms opening onto a walkway. There are chairs outside the room and small table which is helpful for after this kids go to bed as the night air is lovely this time of year. The rooms are old but very clean and the beds are comfortable. The AC was cool and the fridge worked fine. The outdoor pool was nice on the hot day.

The only negative is that Internet did not function at all for us.

I had stayed at the Mariner in October a few years back. It was just a quick visit but I really like the area and when my fiancé and I were looking for a place to getaway for the weekend I thought of Ogunquit and knew the Mariner would be the perfect place to stay.
The resort is in a great location and close to the Footbridge beach (which was beautiful). There is also a trolley pick up right outside the resort, which is very helpful because at certain times of the day parking is hard to find and also can expensive. Both times that I stayed at the Mariner, I was very happy with the resort. The rooms are very spacious and clean, also having an refrigerator in the room was great for keeping snacks and drinks in the room. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. The pools and hot tub are very a good size, clean and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool after a few hours at the beach each day. We love the town of Ogunquit and would love to plan a trip back soon. Of course we will stay at the Mariner!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: The second floor rooms in the 100's have a great view of the Ogunquit River and the ocean behind...

My girlfriend and I recently took a quick "get away" trip to the beautiful Maine coast. But because it was short notice, and 7/5 just after the holiday we were having problems finding a vacancy. Typically we use the B&B venue and have stayed at some of the best on the SeaCoast. I took a chance on the Mariner, based on the reviews I read (write reviews very helpful). Friendly hosts, very clean, and a very good value for the money. The trolly stops virtually in front on the Mariner so you can beat the notorious Ogunquit traffic. A "do-able" walk to beautiful Footbridge beach, and a very short ride to Ogunquit village. Well maintained grounds and a beautiful view will certainly bring me back to the Mariner !!

My family and I discovered the Mariner several years ago. We have never been disappointed. The rooms are wonderfully clean, spacious and inviting. The grounds are neat with attractive landscaping. Pricing is reasonable and the Mariner is well located to area attractions and neighboring towns. In the morning its nice to sit out on the porch, view the salt marshes and the ocean in the distance. Its charming and relaxing-all that a vacation stay should be.

We enjoyed our two-night stay at the Mariner. Our first night was in a corner room overlooking the marsh. Since the room wasn't available for a second night, we moved to a different room on the same floor. Both rooms were spacious and clean and had a microwave and full-sized refrigerator. Pool area and grounds were pleasant.

Hotel guest notebook mentioned that one could eat lobster in-room and recommended the Peach Plum lobster pound, about 1/4 mile away (very friendly staff/owner). Prices were reasonable and for an extra $2 per order they steam the lobsters for you... butter and lobster utensils were also available for sale. We made a quick trip to the grocery and dollar stores for some plates, corn, and potatoes and had a wonderful in-room dinner.

The hotel had a nice family-friendly atmosphere; however, a word of caution is in order for conservative families -- you may be put off by the "lifestyle" exhibited by some in the Ogunquit center of town crowd. - TBTRFG

ps - We rode the trolley RT to Ogunquit -- a note about the trolley: Ogunquit only offers one-way trips; you pay each time you get on/off in-between. (other connecting trolleys on the line - Kennebunkport, Wells, etc. allow you to buy a pass for on/off rides all day in that zone).

Trip was very good! Mariner has been constantly good for us! One thing that would be helpful is to mention that parking at the ocean is very limited and encourage folks to take the trolley as it's minimal cost and drops you off at the beach. Typically, in the past we usually drove to the beach and had no problem finding a park space this time last Saturday all lots were full by 11 AM. So, we used the trolley which was a cool thing.
We have been going to the Mariner for the past 30 years when we can get a reservation. Some yrs we did not decide soon enough. So, thanks again as we had a very good time and we should be back again next year.

Room Tip: We have recommeded the Mariner to many friends
