“Great location”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

My family and I stayed for a Thursday and Friday night. we stayed in a sweet 307 in the main building. The room had a small kitchenette with everything needed. The room was a nice size and very comfortable layout with a small balcony outside. The room and the building were very well cared for and I found no maintenance issues at all. Every part of the building was clean and in good working order. Though our room face the street on one side we found it to be very quiet with no noticeable street noise.
The staff was more than helpful to open doors or offer advise on dining and other info. There is a drink machine and ice available outside on the lower level.
We utilized the out door and in door pool are every day. Thought the pools are "heated" we found the indoor pool to be cooler than the outdoor which was odd. Both pools were colder than expected Thursday and Friday. We mentioned this to the staff and Saturday morning the pool heat was certainly on an the temperature much closer to the targeted 80 degrees claimed. The pool area outside was a big reason for our stay here, also the indoor pool incase of rain. The outdoor pool was very nice ( a few more regular chairs and tables would be nice) again well kept and very clean.

Room Tip: Keep in mind there are no elevators if stairs are an issue for you

Thanks so much for your comprehensive, nice review of your stay at our Suites. Thank you also for being so generous with the accolades to our staff. We will certainly pass them on. We are so fortunate to have such a fabulous staff and it sounds like they attended very well to your needs while you were here. We take great pride in maintaining the property in a meticulous fashion and when someone like you appreciates it, it is very rewarding. We are happy that you loved the pools. The outdoor pool is relatively new and everyone seems to really love it. We hope to see you again!

My family of four stayed at the Sea Rose for an all too short stay of 3 days last week. We stayed in the 410 Suite in the Sea Cliff House, and we were happily surprised to get an early check in on our arrival. The AC wall control was loose on the wall in one of the bedrooms, but a quick call to the front desk, quickly solved the problem. The location, comfort and cleanliness of this fine resort is hard to beat in Ogunquit. The queen bedroom my wife and I shared was small, but comfortable. The kids absolutely loved the room they were in. My one complaint would be the strangely out of place large brown "King" chair, that is in the living area. I am not sure any of my family sat in that chair as it was as uncomfortable as it was ugly. That is only a small complaint, as we are already counting down the days until next year.

Thanks so much for writing such a nice review of your stay. It sounds like you are a return guest when you mentioned "another" great stay. We love return guests and strive to make everyone just that. I laughed when I read the mention of the ugly brown chair. It was an extremely expensive chair in brand new condition that came from another property that we own and we felt it was too good to just throw away. I had trepidation about using it and the moment it went in I knew that it was not a great fit for the Sea Rose Suites. However, we had no time to replace it before the season started and it is a gorgeous chair in the right setting. (I knew it was was a bad idea ahead of time but kept rationalizing lol). Anyway, we had already planned it's removal and as soon as the season ends it will be just a distant memory. :) We have many various suite layouts and configurations, and hopefully you will continue to be our return guest!

A great stay at a great place! Convienet location, helpful staff, beautiful outdoor pool, comfortable room. Kitchen was well appointed, we were quickly provided with extra towels upon request. An extra shower would have been a nice upgrade but otherwise perfect. We'll be back!!!

We love it that you chose The Sea Rose Suites for your bachelorette party. We hope that you made some great memories to go along with the wedding, which I am sure was amazing as well. :) We thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review. Also, if you ever return for a reunion of your gathering, please know that we do have three bedroom suites that would give you additional showers. We do have a large variety of suite layouts. Hopefully you will chose the Sea Rose Suites again.

We stayed in the suites for a girls weekend and it was amazing. The rooms were very good size for a 2 bedroom suite. The pool was beautiful, the service was amazing, it is an easy walk to downtown. I would highly suggest staying here for the weekend.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a nice review of your stay at our Sea Rose Suites. It sounds like it was a fabulous weekend with your girlfriends, which is almost always a wonderful time for memories to be made. We think that the Suites offer a group of girls, like you were, the perfect solution to everyone getting their own space as compared to everyone trying to fit into just a single room or two. We hope to see you again!

You can't beat the location or the amount of space. We have been coming here for something like 12 years (before it was owned by Sea Rose) and we always get the same room. It is very comfortable for a family of four.

Until this year one of the best things about the Sea Rose Suites was Olga, who was also so welcoming. This year the front desk was not nearly so friendly, and certainly not all that helpful. So, come for the location, but you won't necessarily get a welcoming vibe.

Oh no, you are mistaken!!! LOL Olga has a new baby and took some time off this summer, but she still works for us and will be returning either late this season or next summer for sure! We do have some lovely reception people however, so maybe give the others a chance. We know that it's difficult to lose a favorite person, but be rest assured that Olga is one of our treasured "family" of dedicated employees. It's a great compliment to her that you missed her and we will certainly pass that on to her. We are so happy that you continue to return to our Sea Rose Suites and we look forward to seeing you again! Thanks so much for taking the time to write your review.

We spent 3 nights at Sea Rose Suites. Not the cheapest place to stay...nor the most expensive. I'd say Ogunquit overall is a very expensive family vacation destination. We paid just over $400 a night...which we split between 2 families. The bedroom our friends were in was the bigger of the two and was very well appointed. The room my wife, daughter and I shared was a lot smaller. Our daughter slept on the floor with a folding mattress we brought from home. The air conditioning wasn't working very well...it cooled the room but didn't get rid of the humidity. Therefore when we went to bed at night the room was very damp. The living room and kitchenette is one room. It has a pullout sofa that our friend's daughter slept in. The tv is way too small for the room...should be upgraded. Kitchen area is more than adequate. Location for the Marginal Way is prime...however it's a haul to get into town or the beach....better to take the trolley. It's also next door to a small convenience store and many excellent restaurants.

Room Tip: Even though the name has "sea" in it you're no where near the "sea".. You c...

Thanks for taking the time to write a review for Trip Advisor. We are not certain which suite you stayed in because we don't have a reservation under your name, nor do we have a reservation for one suite with six people. Possibly you might have been happier if you had booked two suites side by side, or if you had booked a three bedroom suite. We do have a large variety of layouts and sizes of suites which we discuss when guests book. I doubt there is a place in Ogunquit, not to mention one with full suites, where your family could stay for just $200. per night in the middle of the summer season (assuming that you split the cost with your companions). The two bedroom suites have a minimum of three flat screen televisions, with the smaller t.v.'s in the bedrooms and the larger t.v. in the living room where generally people prefer to watch on the larger size. We are fortunate to have so many great restaurants nearby as you nicely noted. We see that you ate at the Roost Bistro which just relocated to Shore Road. We also found it to be a fun dining experience. Your reference to Sea Roses indicates that you do not have Sea Roses in Canada(?), but they are beautiful flowering rose bushes that bloom in coastal areas. (They are not a body of water.) We have many lovely Sea Rose bushes on our grounds. Hopefully you got to enjoy the grounds and the indoor and outdoor pool areas. Thanks again for your review and have a great rest of the summer.
