From our private balcony the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks, watching the sun rise from behind the hotel and being awestruck by the beauty of the twinkling stars on a clear night are just a few reasons to love The Beachmere. My husband and I had an amazing couples getaway with some friends on Veteran's Day weekend. We stayed in Beachmere West. The bed was comfortable and the spacious suite was very clean and bright and had all the amenities you could ask for. I loved the heated floor in the bathroom! The weather was awesome (high 60's in November) so we enjoyed walks along the Marginal Way, Perkins Cove and the beach. The staff was very friendly and the food in the Pub was good. We can't wait to go back!

We throughly enjoy staying at the Beachmere...have been doing so close to 20 years. This is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy all that Ogunquit offers. It's quiet and centrally located. We particularly enjoy coming in the off season... still plenty to do. It was my wife's birthday and when we arrived, Aaron had left us a nice bottle of wine to aid in the celebration. Nice touch as I had only mentioned in passing that it was her birthday.
The Beachmere is such a special place for my wife and me. Looking forward to our next visit.

We have stayed at the Beachmere for several years now, and the one thing that delights us the most is the consistency with which we enjoy our stay. We try to come off season to avoid the crowds, so the weather is usually cool, but that doesn't hinder the beautiful walks on the Marginal Way, strolling downtown for coffee, snacks and shopping, and having a beautiful facility to return to. We have stayed in rooms 4 and 28 a couple times each and enjoyed them both. The bedding is like home, we have an efficiency kitchen to enjoy breakfast and small meals in our cozy room, the bathrooms are up to date, and the view of the ocean is the icing on the cake. The staff is helpful but not intrusive. The grounds are kept immaculately, and the fires in the common area and in the entries make the atmosphere so hospitable. I am a gardener, and love history so Sarah and Louesa's history with the Beachmere and attention to the grounds are a draw for me. Despite the size of the facility, it's quite a homey atmosphere. The Beachmere is quintessential Ogunquit, it keeps us coming back year after year. Keep up the good work!!

We stayed in room 39 of the Victorian building, a beautiful cozy room with an amazing view of the ocean. The room was great and had everything we needed for a wonderful, relaxing honeymoon, even a little kitchenette and a balcony literally 500 feet from the edge of the ocean. The breakfast every morning was very good, and all of the staff were always very friendly and helpful. When we visit Maine again, we definitely want to come back to room 39 at the Beachmere.

Room Tip: Definitely pick a room in the Victorian. Each room is unique, and they all have beautiful views of t...

Went to Ogunquit, Maine Beachmere Inn again in 2012. We went in Sept in lieu of July/Aug. Enjoyed it thoroughly. A different experience as it was colder, but the views are spectacular, and the hospitablity still warm and friendly. Beautiful mornings cool fresh air, with the sun coming up and coffee on the fantastic deck. Walks on the Marginal way and walks into town sto enjoyable. Love this place.
Have booked again for 2013 and looking foward to being there. Keep up the hospitable atmosphere it makes all guests feel special !!! Thank you Sarah for the note and gift in our room welcoming up back for another year. It was really appreciated and says it all about your ability to keeping visits personable and friendly.

Excellent veiws, excellent rooms, we spend most of our time in the Victorian, but have also stayed in Beachmere west. Great place for a romantic getaway. The lounge leaves a little to be desired very small and not very busy, but they keep trying to improve it. The food we have eaten there has always been good. Its the atmosphere we go for.

Room Tip: Victorian cant go wrong

We spent a wonderful 3 days at this hotel. The views are wonderful from most rooms and there was a good choice of different types of rooms to choice from. What we liked was being able to park up and leave the car for 3 days in the carpark! The Marginal Way to Perkins Cove is one of the most beautiful walks I have done, there is a gate from the hotel straight onto the Walk. The room we were in Room 11 was clean and perfectly adequate but could do with an update. We did take a look at some of the other rooms and the standard of those, updated rooms, was superb because of this I will only give them a 4 if we had been in an updated room it would have been 5!

Room Tip: ask for an updated room
