I have been staying at the Beachmere Inn every few years since 1976 and have never had a bad experience. Their hospitality is always very gracious. I was very impressed with the changes/additions that were made since the last time I visited and was pleased to see the ambience of the Victorian was not lost. It is obvious that a lot of thought and love were put into the architecture to tie it all together. I don't think there is a room with a bad view of the ocean in the place. We like to stay in the South building and love sitting on the balcony at night with a glass of wine, watch the waves and listen to the ocean in the light of the full moon. The grounds are always beautifully landscaped. We always love being able to just walk across the lawn and open the gate to the Marginal Way. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. It is always a wonderfully restful get away with all our needs taken care of .

We stayed in Room 303 in Bullfrog and found it more than met our needs. Yes, it's older but it is clean, well-appointed, and quite charming. We loved having two rooms since we go away to work on our artistic endeavors. There was wireless internet, a kitchenette, and it was a mere block from the water. Continental breakfast at the larger inn was included. My only gripe (other than the rain) was that they ran out everything we wanted at breakfast by 9:00 and we were told they weren't going to make any more (eggs, waffles). That seemed wrong to me. We dealt with it by eating breakfast out the next day--and that was much better. Still, at $110 a night, Bullfrog Cottage is a bargain. The bed was comfortable, the cable worked, and the space was much appreciated.

Room Tip: The Beachmere itself is beautiful and on the water. We opted for the secondary property because the...

This was our third year at the Beachmere and it won't be our last. I talked to a woman who has been coming since 1935....WOW. The town reminds us of our town back home. The staff is great even the maintenance man who picked fun of me..I really enjoy the fact that you never have to get in your car once you arrive. We really enjoyed the new outside fire area...was a really nice way to relax after a day of activities.

I have been going to Ogunquit for many years and have stayed at various hotels/motels in the area. However, this was my first stay at The Beachmere Inn as I wanted to pick a new place to bring my mother for her birthday. We stayed in the Victorian and we absolutely loved it. We plan on returning next fall.

We stayed at the Beachmere for a 4 day getaway recently and I cannot say enough about this hotel. The landscaping is beautiful and the location is absolutely perfect. The suites are spacious and well equipped with every type of cookware and utensil you may need. I felt as if we were the first people to ever spend the night in room 221, as it was freshly painted and spotlessly cleaned. The complimentary continental breakfast was beautifully laid out, with many choices to get you started with your day. I look forward to returning to the Beachmere Inn in the future and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone vacationing in the ogunquit area.

We always go after Labor Day when things are quieter and we can sit on our deck and listen to the ocean. The view of the ocean is wonderful. We also go over and walk the beach barefoot to feel the cold ocean water. We had stayed at other properties in Maine but Beachmere is our favorite. We sit and read and relax every year. It is conveniently located between town and Perkins Cove. They have updated our room and the decor is perfect.

Room Tip: I don't think there are too many bad rooms at Beachmere, maybe the lower floor on the Victorian...

The Beachmere is a great inn. The accommodations are comfortable and a treat, whether you stay in the Victorian, South or West buildings. The staff of the Inn is friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are enjoyable, especially sitting outside with the beautiful ocean view. The ocean is the top attraction at the Beachmere. A visitor to the hotel has access to the Marginal Way and a walk along the ocean to either Ogunquit or Perkins Cove is a delight.
