Excellent location. Short walk to shopping, Marginal Way and Perkins Cove is a 15 minute walk. Got an early check-in ,excellent customer service by the front desk staff.
If you do go during peak season only one car per room reservation. There is additional parking across the street ($10 /night on this date)

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your compliments - We appreciate your business and thank you for staying at our Resort!

Great to hear that you discovered our central location (it’s a secret that our guests enjoy) and made the most of the getaway. We also understand that parking can be difficult when the hotel is full and happily offer arrangements with Jonathan's Restaurant for additional parking at the economical rate of $10 for 24 hours.

We hope you can return to Ogunquit and enjoy the Meadowmere again!

Happy travels!

This was our first time to the Meadowmere and Ogunquit. We were impressed with the facility and its location. Although it is not oceanside, nor does it offer an ocean view, it allows easy access to all of the sites and attractions. The resort offered an outdoor hot tub and a Roman bath, along with an indoor pool. The outdoor pool was closed for the season still. There is a small movie theater that offers relatively current movies twice a day...one for the kids and one for adults. The rooms were good sized (ours had two queen beds) and were clean. Most rooms had a private balcony. There was a tv room and free wireless internet. There is also a small sitting area that acts as a library and a large fitness center. The smell of the roaring fire tempted us to sneak down for a nightcap before heading back to our room and we were glad that we did...it was just a pleasant way to top off our weekend.

I thought this hotel would be a nice local getaway. Swimming and relaxing by the indoor pool was first on my list. Unfortunately the Meadowmere allows parents to book pool parties at their resort,. Imagine trying to read the paper and have a conversation over 11 girls screaming 'marco polo'. It was like the Y.
I didn't read the details to see the pub was closed (offeason) and the hot tub wasnt running(offseason). And not so much as a muffin or juice for the guests in the morning. I wont be back.

My husband and I have been taking our granddaughter (now 11) to the Meadowmere Resort for the past 5 or 6 years during late February/early March as a special winter 4 day mini holiday that is all about her and usually a friend. We choose the Meadowmere because of the family suites, pool, Roman hot-tub (which our granddaughter loves), the indoor movie theater, convenience to the center of Ogunquit i.e., lots of restaurants, the beach, etc. Additionally, the Meadowmere offers a resort that is friendly and safe. We have no problem with our granddaughter and/or her friend going any place in the resort on their own. This is a great amenity! Additionally, the staff is always polite, friendly and if necessary, responsive to any of needs or concerns.

We booked a family suite for 2 nights. The check-in went smoothly, with the clerk being friendly and quick. Parking for our room was a bit tight as it seemed we always lucked out and grabbed the last spot whenever we returned to our rooms.

The room itself was okay. The sink is located outside the bathroom, so the actual bathroom and toilet area is very compact. My other complaint was the cheap shower head, which was very misty instead of a strong spray.

The family suite is basically 2 separate bedrooms, which we paid an average price of $200 per night. So if you look at it as 2 separate rooms, $200 seems like a decent price, but it just seemed like we should've had more accomodations for $200... maybe a microwave to go with the mini-fridge.

We did check out the movie theater room, which was a big plus in my opinion. It was a very nice setup with stadium seating playing some recent DVD releases.

The Roman Spa was also nice, but there was some sediment on the top of some of the foam, which caused my 3-year-old to comment about how dirty it was.

We also used the main indoor pool, which was just fine. My only minor complaint: why not have a big pile of towels for the pool guests to use, instead of making them stop by the front desk each time? The towels weren't top-notch quality, so I can't imagine the issue is theft.

The internet access was a bit slow, and I never had a really good connection, perhaps due to location of room far away from the main office.

Check-out went smoothly as well with a minor wait (5 minutes or so) as there was only 1 person working and she was busy taking a phone reservation.

All in all, not bad. Nothing major to complain about, but I also don't think I'd return anytime soon.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent visit - We appreciate your business and thank you for staying at our Resort when visiting Ogunquit. It is our pleasure to offer indoor/outdoor pools, hot tub, Roman Spa, TV room, game room, wireless internet, full service fitness center, spa, steam, sauna and more in the heart of Ogunquit village.

We understand that hotel rooms do vary greatly and we invite guests to visit our well maintained website to help them decide if our location and room choices are the best accommodations for their vacation. In regards to difficulties with the showerhead, we hope that we were offered the opportunity to attend to the shower area during your stay. As is common in certain areas, the water type can cause shower heads to clog and we are always happy to attend to a guest request. In regards to our Family Suites rooms, our apologies that this room arrangement did not meet your personal needs during this stay.

It is our pleasure to provide our guests with the Roman Spa amenity, an indoor salt water whirlpool, and with an indoor heater pool. In regards to the Roman Spa, the foam is an effect of detergent soap, often from a bathing suit and we regularly attend to this as occasionally a guest mistakes the amenity to be unclean. Please know that our water areas are maintained every day prior to opening and the Roman Spa receives a complete clean and water turn over at a minimum of once per week.

While we regret that there were concerns during your stay, we appreciate your business and thank you for sharing your opinion.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2008

Was here for two nights in conjunction with a wedding in late October. Kinda risky time of year weather-wise, but although a bit cool, the event was fabulous.

A few notes about Ogunquit this time of year: First, everything closes really early. On our first night, we tried to go to dinner at 8:25pm and the restaurant we went to told us they were closing in 5 minutes. At 8:30? We ended up staying because our waiter, a young guy who was quick to realize he'd get some decent tips from our party of 10, was willing to stay. Second, even though the businesses all kept saying it was slow season, which they define as after Columbus Day weekend, there seemed to be a lot of people around, all looking for open restaurants and parking. Seems like a missed opportunity. It was also frustrating that one could not get anything, including a pizza, delivered.

One highlight: Marginal Way. A beautiful seaside footpath of about 1 1/2 miles. Beautiful scenery and a lovely way to spend a few hours.

As for Meadowmere, pretty much a classic New England coastal hotel, a motor lodge with some additional amenities. The bar was closed for much of the time we were there and there was no breakfast. Upon checking in, I specifically asked about breakfast, and the response was a blank look and "what breakfast?" OK... Jacuzzi was specifically mentioned at check in but always seemed to be "closed." Also, the coffee urns in the check in area were always empty. It just kinda seemed that if you are there off season, there isn't much trying on the hotel's part.

Rooms were a bit stuffy but otherwise clean and functional.

Would I go back? Possibly during the summer high season just to see how things are when everything is open. However, I wouldn't want to pay more than $120 a night to do so.
