This is our third annual March get-away weekend with friends and we always have a wonderful time. Our room is always immaculate, the atmosphere throughout the hotel is pleasant and decorated accordingly, the staff is always welcoming and courteous and we can congregate in different locations so we don't need to stay in one of our rooms. Between the indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi or the sitting areas, we can all be comfortable to visit, chat and of course laugh. We enjoy walking to and on the Marginal Way. The pub is always our Saturday evening entertainment where we enjoy music and a few drinks!!! I highly recommend the Meadowmere Resort to anyone looking for a family, friend,or couple weekend away!!

My husband and I go on a romantic spa weekend every year in March and we go somewhere new and different each time. This year was Ogunquit and I chose the Meadowmere because of the indoor pool, outdoor Jacuzzi and massage.

The man at check in was so nice and friendly, he definitely made us feel welcome. We stayed in a double room in the main building. The room was standard, there was a small balcony which was nice although it was pretty cold when we went so we did not utilize it much. I think if you are planning on staying in warmer weather, it will be nice to have.

I do want to address some things for other travelers to know:
Parking is tight. There were some nights we came back and I wasn't sure we would get a spot. Don't be surprised if you cant get a spot near your door.

We wanted to try the bar but there was no bartender there. We went in, sat down. There was a man playing guitar and some guests listening but we couldn't get a drink. We decided not to bother and just went to the downtown area.

This is a family resort. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, if you have kids. We don't yet and we were expecting a little more of a romantic weekend but there seemed to be kids running up and down the hall at all times.

I also thought there would be a spa but it's two rooms off of the fitness area where you go in and get your massages. I could hear bar bells being dropped throughout my time.

I finally did get to enjoy the pool, roman spa and outdoor hot tub without a lot of children there on Sunday because we had a late check out which was very nice. The pool is huge, the outdoor hot tub was wonderful and the roman spa made me wish I had one in my own home. It was so relaxing, I could have spent all day in there.

All in all, the Meadowmere is a nice place, if you are looking for "affordable luxury" with your family, then I definitely think the Meadowmere is for you. Maybe we will be back after we start our family.

Thanks!

Dear Cblais11,

Thank you for your review – and for joining us this March for a romantic getaway!

We were delighted to have you as our guest and appreciate your compliments on our customer service. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our many amenities and found a great value in our Mind, Body, Spirit Spa Package. With a full hour treatment and a choice of a second treatment for each person at our day spa, the spa package at our Ogunquit hotel is a wonderful way to unwind.

You are correct – The Meadowmere is a longtime favorite for family vacations and has received recognition as one of the best family hotels in Southern Maine. We apologize if there was a noise concern during your stay from families joining us and we wish we had been given the opportunity to resolve this for you. In regards to parking, there is complimentary parking of one vehicle per reservation and in the Main Building section where you stayed, parking options include multiple lots. Although spaces near our lobby are limited, beyond our Main Entrance there is ample parking for accessing the hotel and we would have been happy to offer a map and directions to the choices best suited for your particular room.

We thank you for bringing your experience in the pub to our attention. We do take our feedback seriously and are happy you shared your service experience so that we may improve. We certainly invite you to return to unwind again and hope you can enjoy the live music with one of our signature cocktails for the next trip.

Thank you for sharing your feedback!

We stay at Meadowmere frequently and have never been disappointed. It has everything! Lounge, entertainment on weekends, movie theater (great place to watch the superbowl on a movie theater screen), pools in and out, jacuzzis in and out, well equipped gym, fine dining right next door at Jonathan's and the town is right down the street along with beautiful Ogunquit beach. Everyone is so friendly there and the rooms are clean, comfortable and decorated expertly.
I like the off season best.

Room Tip: If you like peace and quiet, the 3rd floor is perfect. I like to be located near the roman spa.

My husband and I wanted a weekend trip to relax, be active to get away from our daily lives. I read several reviews of the Meadowmere Resort and we decided to book our stay there. We got a great deal, which included 2 nights, 2 breakfast, 1 wine and cheese reception, and a dinner at a restaurant of our choice.
The resort is very neat and clean, has a very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere and very friendly staff. We loved the gym, the Roman spa, the indoor pool and - most of all - the outdoor hot tub. We spent much time relaxing in the hot tub, and sitting in the chilly air to cool off, then getting back in the water.
I took advantage of the on-site massage service being offered, and it was a blissful half hour.
The beach is only a short walk away and is wonderful for long walks. We also hiked along the scenic Marginal Way to Perkins Cove, a super cute little fishing village. This short hike exposed us to the quintessential Maine coast - gorgeous!
For our first night's dinner we ate at Jonathan's, which is right on the same property as the Meadowmere, and breakfast is also served there. Food was great and staff very friendly. For our next dinner we chose the Old Village Inn - without a doubt the best meal we'd had in a long time. Included in the deal is a four-course dinner, and this was the perfect date night!
The Meadowmere offered us the perfect mix of being active and relaxing, and we'll be sure to come back for our next wellness-weekend.
