The Ogunquit Museum of Art is a lovely small museum right on the water in a great location near Perkins Cove. The art is mostly 20th century American art, featuring works by members of the Ogunquit School of Art. Though small, they change their exhibits 5 times a year. The landscaping is sensational and includes a wonderful sculpture garden as well as lovely flower gardens. I recommend visiting it off season, if possible. Ogunquit in the summer is jam packed with cars.

the OMAA (Ogunquite Museum of American Art) has some very interesting pieces. I am not an art gallery museum enthusiast, but enjoyed seeing some of the pieces. It is a small museum, easy to go thru in 1 hour, but probably others would want to take 2 or so. Not far of the path of downtown Ogunquit and just around the corner (cove) from the MC Perkins Cove Restaurant where you can get a fine meal.

This very small museum is a very big gem. After visiting it, we understood why it was rated so highly by the director of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. It sits on an ocean bluff, surrounded by pleasant landscaping, and has a variety of unique art works. The small fee is well worth it.
