There's a whole different vibe when walking the beach on a sunny winter day. The parking lot is free and empty, and you'll only see a few other hardy souls. Dress warmly and enjoy the fresh air!
The main bathhouse is closed, but porta potties are available. All the beachfront shops and restaurants are closed-- so you'll have to walk the third of a mile or so up into the village to get a hot drink and a snack.

good walk, very scenic, close to shops, restaurants and motels. There are some points of entry where you can sit on the beach. The Marginal Way is a great walk, too. There are stairs that have just been built which afford a safe way down through the cliffs to the water. Please check times of high tides when going to any beach area in Ogunquit.

It is the best beach around and the biggest could use more parking! Lots of fun! Great place for kids to play!

What a great place to hold hands and take a walk. We saw a few people flying kites and many others just relaxing with a good book and enjoying the mid-September heat wave. The beach is an easy walk from downtown and you can shop along the way. Beach itself was immaculate with perfect fine sand! The waves make wonderful patterns in the sand! Bring your camera!!
