“Excellent Getaway”

After a couple of years away, we were able to return to the BillowHouse in Ocean Park, ME. You can't ask for any better place to vacation no matter what time of the year. The BillowHouse is located right on the beach. What a wonderful way to wake up each day to the sound of the tide rolling in and seeing the ocean as you look out your window. The newly renovated Saco Bay room is awesome. We would highly recommend the BillowHouse to anyone. It will not disappoint. The staff is very welcoming and hospitable. Breakfast is included in the cost of your stay. Be sure to check this place out!!

Heaven is closer when you are at the Sea. As I sat on the Camp Ellis Jetty at 6am, I was about 400 yds from shore. I watched the sun come up and a new day begin. I returned to the Billows for breakfast and had to make a really tough decision. Cranberry Almond Scones or Blueberry Crumb Cake...Plus freshly made french toast with strawberries...After breakfast, I took a walk on the beach 2 miles to the Old Orchard Beach Pier...In the fall, this beach is so relaxing and my escape to the sea is complete. No ce phonel, No TV, Radio, Internet....

The BillowHouse is the perfect escape from a busy world. Mary and Judy open up their B n B and treated me like I was part of their family. My lighthouse room overlooked the ocean and I sat on the porch and actually read a book. Treat yourself to an Escape to the Sea....

Room Tip: use their website and make your reservations online, allowing yourself to travel back to another era...

When we saw BillowHouse on here we knew it was something special...but we only found out just how special the evening we checked in. We had the Saco Bay Suite and it was just perfect and we relaxed immediately. We could hear the waves crashing on the beach, but couldn't see the beach properly in the dark. The following morning there was a glow from the window and we couldn't believe the incredible view we were seeing. We ran down to the beach and watched the sun coming up (every day we were there and it was warm enough to paddle!) then went back for breakfast. There are three different types of freshly backed cakes, as well as a savoury dish. You can have toast and cereal too. it was all delicious. The little personal touches make it feel so warm and welcome and Judi couldn't do enough for us and was always on hand to give help and directions (we only saw Mary a couple of times as she'd been away, but she has the brightest smiles and is full of enthusiasm!) . We weren't ready to leave when the time came and can't wait to go back.
BillowHouse puts you at ease, lets you relax and feels like home.

We just love Maine in the off season and we finally booked the Ocean View room at the Billow House. We had every comfort they could possibly offer and the breakfast was a homemade wonderland. Hopefully, we can start making this an annual visit. Mary and Judi are the perfect hosts.

We have been coming to Ocean Park for twenty years, and have stayed in most accomodations over the years, but once we found Billowhouse we knew we were home! Mary and Judi are warm, welcoming, and always seem to remember the personal preferences of returning guests! We have stayed in a guesthouse room most years with a great view of the waves rolling onto the beach, but from time to time spring for the amazing Saco Bay Suite with its jacuzzi and incredible private deck over looking the beach. For families, you can't go wrong with the Studio apartments with two large beds, kitchenette, and deck out the front and back door. This has been and will be our Ocean Park home for many years to come! Here's a tip: off season rates are nice for Fall getaways.

Room Tip: All rooms face the ocean, so you can't go wrong!

Been coming to the Billow House with my Mother and Grandmother for ages, recently my boyfriend has also been accompanying us. I love everything about it. When I fantasize about owning my own B&B this is exactly what I picture.

Room Tip: We've stayed in the little room facing the sea a lot but I've also stayed in the motel part...

We have been coming here twice a year for the past 10 years. Never disappointed. Have stayed in almost all of the rooms but love the efficiency rooms with a view of the sea. We are truly part of the family and look forward to our week long vacations. Mary and Judy greet us with open arms and hugs and kisses. The daily cookies in the room are part of our evening tea after a gorgeous day on the beach. Mary's baked goods are plentiful and delicious. Judy is amazing and takes such good care of BillowHouse especially with the retirement of Helen. They think of everything in case you forgot - umbrellas, towels, sunscreen, wind protectors, toys for the kids, a place to put your bicycles. The Gathering room with DVDs, games, books to make your stay more enjoyable. The surrounding area has many places to visit such as Portland, lighthouses, great restaurants. Only a train ride away from Boston ( we did this once and loved it). We love coming here and always look forward to our visits. Highly recommend it for one night or one week. Love you guys. Hans and Cynthia

Room Tip: All the rooms are great depending on your needs. You are directly on the beach. You cannot go wrong.
