Looking for an outdoor lunch restaurant in Northeast Harbor Maine we settled on the Tan Turtle. Very pretty setting outdoors overlooking the harbor. Lots of open space and pretty views.
The Rubin ($13.95) special we heard was sufficient for two people and sounded perfect. When it arrived we understood the recommendation. The bread on the sandwich is so thick that it is impossible to take a full bite of both top and bottom of the sandwich.
French fries were included and very tasty. Excellent coleslaw. Unfortunately, the amount of meat in the sandwich was significantly limited. Although the bread was excellent less bread and more meat would have made a more perfect sandwich.
The bucket of beer special is excellent with five beers for $15.
