I've stayed at Nebo a number of times and over and over again, it is one of the most amazing nights of sleep I've had in a long time! The rooms are comfy, airy and relaxing, the food is amazing and the bar is great. North Haven is a special place on its own and Nebo makes it that much better. The whole place is relaxing, refreshing and definitely to be visited.

My wife and I spent a great summer weekend at Nebo in July, 2009. We really enjoyed the Lodge - the staff was great, as were the room and the food. We had a wonderful dinner on Saturday night, complete with multiple Bush-family sitings. The after-dinner cocktail crowd was very fun both in the bar and on the deck. Nebo is very relaxing and North Haven is beautiful - make sure to take an early morning walk to the highest peak and you can see in all directions for miles. You should definitely put it on your "to do" list for this summer.

Nebo Lodge is the perfect combination of getting away from it all, and having all the amenities you need all in one location. The Island of North Haven is a special place to visit on its own, but staying at Nebo Lodge offers you the chance to experience classic New England with a modern twist, especially because of the interior decorating that was done by North Haven native and accomplished Maine designer, Angela Adams. And, to top it off, the restaurant offers locally grown food and locally caught seafood that is exquisite. Plus, the breakfast choices can't be beat. Yum!

This was our second stay at Nebo and it was terrific. It is cozy and sweet, but hip and fun. The renovations that they did this winter to expand the bar and the deck and the gardens made the inn feel more spacious. We traveled around to the various porches and decks to find the perfect light/ shade/ or breeze according to the time of day. Bring your bike. Looping the island by bike is great way to experience the beauty of this little gem of an island. Just remember to wave to every one that drives by.

Getting to Nebo Lodge is a fun way to start a trip. Rockland is a funky city and the ferry to North Haven sets the stage for a quintessential Maine vacation. Our first trip was in high summer season and it was fun to be among travelers and the Inn was full and bustling. The rooms are wonderful, beds comfortable, and bathrooms are modern and clean. Breakfast is fantastic and if you can get dinner reservations, it's worth it. The second trip was on Memorial Day and unbeknownst to us the island becomes somewhat desserted - which was also fun. Biking is perfect due to smooth and scenic roads with not many cars. Activities are simple and wonderful. Drink coffee on the dock. Bike around the island. Jump off a bridge. Read a book. Go to the Community Center. Perfect!

I have stayed at Nebo several times and enjoyed my visits immensely. The inn is a beautiful victorian in the heart of the quaint North Haven village, an easy and scenic ferry ride from Rockland. The long front porch with wicker seats greets you, there is a lovely deck out back with loads of flowers and comfy chairs. Recent renovations include the new extended bar (indoor/outdoor) and new suites upstairs. The guest rooms are clean and beautifully decorated in Angela Adams textiles with an island feel. The food is outstanding, from fresh baked muffins and island eggs in the morning to a dazzling array of epicurean delights (island-sourced) on the evening menu. if you enjoy beautiful views, riding bikes, exploring rocky beaches and collecting shells, hiking to a peak to see a stunning view, taking a tour with a lobsterman, enjoying a concert at night, kayaking between the islands - or just relaxing on a quiet island and eating incredible food, this is a place you should visit.

We enjoyed our stay at Nebo tremendously! The dinner of local lamb was delicious. The cocktails were yummy and the staff very attentive. There is much to do while on North Haven. It's best explored by bicycle. We'll be booking our trip there again soon! It will be an annual outing to North Haven and Nebo Lodge!
