The Jordan is a great property, however, it is not really a ski in/ski out resort. There is really only one lift that lets you ski back to the hotel from the Southridge area and this lift was only open on the week-end. We were with a beginner and there is no way this skier could have skied back to the Jordan without this lift being open. Since we were there during their three busiest weeks of the season, we didn't understand why this lift was not open. If you don't ski back to the hotel, you must then depend on the shuttle service. This service is hot and cold, because sometimes it took us 20 minutes to get back to the Jordan and sometimes an hour!!!!!! My biggest complaint about the shuttle service was that loop A goes to the Grand Summit but not to the Jordan, but loop B goes to both. Doesn't seem quite fair!

This was our 4th time at the hotel. This time kids Vacation week so prices are sky high of course.
Due to the wind ski out was closed 2 days out of 4. This happens every time we stayed.
Presidents day (Monday) it was very windy and only one lift was open the only thing that could be had was vouchers good for 1 year which of course if you are not sure you are going to go is a piece of paper.
Every time at least one day out of the 3 we stay ski out is closed. There is a shuttle, but during peak time shuttles are overcrowded and after hours it could be quite a wait to get one back.
A couple of times we would start skiing back to make it by lift closing time only to find out that one of the lifts at the end closed just slightly earlier and you have to go back to take shuttle anyway.
Buffet breakfast is pretty good if included with the room, too expensive if you have to buy for a child especially if your child is like mine and does not eat much. My wife does not eat breakfast, but substitution of 2 children for 1 adult is not allowed even though the price of a child breakfast is exactly half of adult.
For 2 nights in a row we had only 1 tea bag in a room for 4. No sugar packets of course. Rooms are Ok, but heating system is horrible. It is either too cold or too hot in the room. It was impossible to get it right.
Very little to do for the children at night but there is arcade at a buck per air hockey play. I would think that given nightly rates they could make arcade for kids a bit less costly. Food is mediocre at best at the restaurant, but we were there only once.
Water in the pool was warm for a change which was a plus since it was not as warm in either pool or spa last time were were there in December.
Kids keep running in and out of the sauna and it makes it impossible to keep it hot enough, but that is not hotels fault.
Most likely will not stay there again.

We stayed here because of the ski in ski out but if there is any kind of a breeze they close the lift and you have to get a bus to the main area which becomes packed to over flowing as it is not designed to handle the volume. Breakfast in the main ground floor area is plentyful and around $20 a head but a great little place on 1st floor will cook you similar for $7 .. Two out of six days was hardly worth the extra $$$$ for door step skiing resort very dated and basic the hotel staff are lovely though but if you don't live near by iths hotel is not worth making an effort to get here. On reading other tripadvisor comments on this whole area it seems to be well past it's best,,, come on Sunday river get your act together !!!!!

3 day skiing two night ski package in a suite, mid week. Had the place to ourselves. I could see it would be a bit different on the weekend or holidays.
All staff very cheerful and efficient: front desk, valet, housekeeping, waitstaff.
Very clean and in good repair.
Ski right up to back door, ski check just a couple steps inside the door. Excellent! And ski to the lift in the morning.
Very comfortable bed. Room was somewhat plain.
Dinners in Sliders were reasonable and tasty.
Complementary breakfast buffet included (only in ski package) had all one could want.
Outdoor pool and huge twin jaccuzis...the best! Plus steam room, sauna, spa, etc.
See my review for the mountain.

Room Tip: The rooms facing east get morning sun and a better view of the mountains. Ask for a room on the top floor if available to avoid people thumping with ski boots overhead.

Pretty classy hotel by New England standards. Good restaurant and deli; very good all-included breakfast; nice spa and massage center. All good - and it should be for $7,000 for the week (two bedroom with kitchen.) However, a big downer was the "ski-in ski-out" claim. The hotel is located on the far side of the Sunday River Resort and access is entirely dependent on one chairlift (#14)
On three of our seven days the chairlift was closed due to high winds. So the only way to ski was to take a 25-minute shuttle ride to the main base area. The hotel put on a few extra shuttles for Jordan guests (do you understand $7,000 tariff?) but not nearly enough. So in a nutshell, nice hotel but crappy skiing - which is WHY you go there!

Room Tip: The usual - stay away from the elevators and the spa areas.
