We have been staying with the Inn for 15 years and enjoyed the renovations this year. We loved having a fridge and microwave, plus the new windows and jacuzzi shower/tub. I have worked in hotels for 35 years and I love the older hotels. They are so solid and virtually sound proof. We have never heard hall traffic! I also enjoy know that there is an indoor pool for us if we want. The new owner has also upgraded the breakfast and has good choice for people who cannot have much sugar! We will stay here any time we come to the area!

Room Tip: We enjoy the second floor clse to the spa!!!

Five of us stayed at Baxter Park Inn for two nights in three separate rooms. The owners and staff were extremely hiker friendly, helpful and accommodating. Each room was very clean, quiet, with comfortable beds and plenty of hot water for showers and reasonably priced. My daughter and son-in-law were thru-hikers on the Appalachian Trail (2,185.9 miles) and we wanted to help celebrate with them after they summited Mt. Katahdin so the location was perfect. They both enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The continental breakfast offered cold cereal, oatmeal, English muffins, packaged Danish, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice. Plenty to get us going in the morning. My one regret was not asking the owners where to go to possibly see a moose. I'm sure they would have been able to give us some suggestions. I was disappointed we didn't see one when we were in Maine. The owners made us feel very welcomed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: No elevator - if you have problems with steps, request a room on the first floor.

We stayed at Baxter Park Inn for 3 nights. The hotel is very clean and in good condition everywhere. It is located close to the Baxter State Park. Thanks to our host we had a perfect day in the park. He phoned for us to get information which trails would be open because there was a constant rain for 2 weeks before and most of the trails were closed. As we didn't like the offered American breakfast so much we went to the Appalachian Trail Cafe every morning.

I remember you and your mother very well. What a blessing to get to meet you and spend time with you both! I am so glad you enjoyed your experience with us as much as I did with you and I am glad to see you have made it back to Germany alright! As I recall, you had a real desire for American pancakes, and thus, your frequent trips to a local cafe for breakfast! Thanks so very much for taking the time to review us and we will look forward to seeing you again when you "cross the pond"!

This past weekend my husband and I stayed at the Baxter Park Inn. We were in town visiting family and also traveling with extended family & friends.

We were very happy with our stay and will use them again in the future. The room was large & clean, the inn was quiet, and the hot tubs were steaming (just the thing after whitewater rafting for the day!). The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The amenities are modest, and suited our needs just fine.

We were very happy with our stay and I'm happy to recommend this little charm to anyone that is going to be in the area.

Stayed at Baxter Park Inn for four nights while kayaking in Millinocket lakes area. Called for reservation rather than used any of the web site reservation services and got a much cheaper rate than was advertised by Search engines on web. Hotel is about a mile uphill from downtown Millinocket. Convenient to all lakes and Baxter State Park about 20 miles away. Room was decent with queen size bed and was immaculately clean. Bed was comfortable. Morning continental breakfast was prepackaged Danish, cold/hot cereal, juice, coffee, tea and cocoa. It was sufficient to get your eyes open and get you out the door to the lakes. I'd stay there again.

Room Tip: Call hotel directly when making reservation rather than using web reservation search engines. You...

Beautiful location in Millinocket. My wife and I have stayed there several times in the past and would not hesitate to go back when we are there. Rooms a re large with plenty of space. We were there the end of August-beginning of September 2013. Close to Baxter Park, the Golden Road and some very good dining places. We will stay there in the future.

Clean and convenient rooms and premises.
Very appreciable value for money.
And also, very good advice from the manager telling us the time we had to arrive at the gate of Baxter State Park, where parking spaces are highly limited. Without it, no doubt our week end would have been spoilt ! No doubt I'll come there again for a new climbing of Katahdin.
