My family of three enjoyed our trip with Robertson Sea Tours & Adventures. We had wanted to take the Puffin tour, but ended up on the Whale (and Puffin) tour due to scheduling. We were staying in Bar Harbor but wanted to avoid the large vessels (and weak reviews) and thought it would be fun to drive to Milbridge. Captain Robertson was easy to communicate with via email, answering my questions and providing instruction. It was a pretty drive and the captain pulled up to the dock in the Milbridge Marina right on schedule. The Captain was kind and accommodating, always checking our comfort level and explaining our itinerary. On the way out to sea we saw osprey (and nest), harbor seals (adorable pups), and porpoises. Our favorite part of the trip was the puffin stop (also terns, razorbills, guillemot, etc.) We were the only ones there and were able to get quite close in our smaller vessel. It is a long way out the sea, but it was a beautiful day and Capt. Robertson pointed out birds along the way. When we got into the "ballpark" where whales had been spotted in the past, we all watched for movement. Finally we saw a finback whale! While the whale watching was fun, I preferred when we were closer to shore and probably would have preferred the puffin/shoreline trip. It was a great trip though--even though my son got seasick. Once again, the Captain was great, though. Recommend! Boat holds 6--Coleman portable toilet in the hull (like when you're camping).
