“As good as it gets”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

Other than the Big Sur coast of California, this is as good as a Coastline gets. Lots of little harbors, lighthouses, wildlife, hiking, and small boats to take you on cruises of the area.

“Quoddy Head State Park”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

The coastal trail which begins at the lighthouse is beautiful. It goes for at least a mile right along the bluff, with plenty of views of the rocky coastline. The official brochure includes a helpful map of the hike, as well as some other information about the area.

“A Hiking Treat”
Reviewed May 30, 2012

The Bold Coast trail system near Cutler, Maine begins at a small parking/trail head area a couple of miles east of the village. Walk through the woods without making any turns, and you are at a seaside/cliffside trail with extraordinary views. Finish the loop through the meadow area, or backtrack depending on how much time you have. Beginners will be fine, but make sure you have good shoes or boots - sneakers and flip-flops will make your experience less than pleasurable. We have done the trip several times, and it worth the half- or full-day time spent here.
