“Wonderful and consistent -- highly recommended”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

We have gone to the Youngtown Inn for over 20 years -- in fact, since they opened. We have NEVER been disappointed and consider it among the finest dining experiences we have had, and we have been to nearly 50 countries! The food is remarkable, the ambience terrific and the service impeccable. The one server, who shall remain unnamed, has been there 22 years and he is terrific. We have gone there as a couple, with a few friends, and also with a group of 10. Those that have gone there for the first time came away gushing about the experience. The YI is off the beaten path which only adds to its charm. For those with time, the inn is a wonderful place to stay.

We go back regularly and suggest if you are anywhere near Camden/Belfast, Maine you make a point of visiting the YI. You will not be disappointed.

“Best Meal of our Trip!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

We just finished dining at the Youngtown Inn and have to say this has been our best meal since visiting the Camden/Lincolnville area. Everything was perfect. The chef successfully managed my meal to meet dietary limitations - perfectly! I started with the Escargot - they were plump and delicious. My husband had the lobster ravioli, which he said were delicate and tasty. Many great sauces to dip those crusty rolls into. Our main entrees were the angus filet mignon with carmelized onions and blue cheese - delicious and cooked precisely as ordered; herbed rack of lamb very tasty and also cooked as ordered. I even chewed the meat off the bone! The accompanying veggies were crisp, tender - just the way we like them. Then there was the dessert....my husband had the Grand Marnier Soufflé that tasted as good as it looked. I had the creamiest sorbet I have ever had accompanied by delicate Maine blueberries - ooh so good!!! Do not miss dining at this place - give yourself a great treat!

“Another amazing experience”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

I have been visiting the Youngtown Inn for 20 years. First with my family, later my husband and this time with our new daughter. Our latest visit did not disappoint. Our room was immaculate, cooled off nicely on the hot summer days we were there, and had a private balcony with a beautiful view. The delectable scent of breakfast rising into the inn made it hard to stay in bed, and the blueberry pancakes tasted as good as they smelled. Our dinner experience was so enjoyable. The staff was friendly but unobtrusive and we always enjoy seeing the familiar smiling faces. We started with salads and I tried something new and had the most delicious pork loin. My husband went with his tried and true favorite, rack of lamb, chef Manuel makes the best he's ever had. We finished our meal as we always do with a soufflé and creme brûlée and it was better than I remembered. Overall our visit to the Youngtown inn was wonderful. We look forward to continuing to visit each year.

“The best dinners in a week of great food!”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

This is a wonderful country Inn just outside of Camden, Maine. The Inn is very good and the restaurant is fabulous! Mary Ann runs the front and Manuel the kitchen. Service is friendly and good, the dining rooms attractive, especially the porch. The food is largely locally sourced and the wines run toward France (Manuel is French). We had dinner there one night and went back again the next night. Lamb, Duck, Pork Tenderloin,Wild Boar and Lobster Ravioli were all superb. Manuel knows how to cook! have dinner and stay the night.

“The best restaurant in Camden...is not in Camden”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

The Youngtown Inn in Lincolnville is always the right place to go when it comes to going somewhere special. And you don't have to go far from Camden to get to it. It's well worth the ten minute drive north from Camden, with its busy summer pace, to get a great French-American meal at a very reasonable prix-fixe point for four courses. The a la carte menu is also creative. The wine list has a broad and appropriate range of selections. The owners' hospitality and restaurant service are second to none. The relaxing atmosphere helps makes any visit a memorable occasion.
