This was our first stay at Mount Battie Motel and definitely will not be our last. I have traveled to mid coast Maine for 16+ years now and this has been one of my most enjoyable stays. Ed and Christine were very accommodating and very knowledgeable of the area. Our room was very clean and spacious with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast in the morning was great with all of Christines homemade baked goods and a nice view of the bay while we enjoyed them on her patio. I think one of the best attributes was our conversations with both of them every day. They are just very friendly GOOD people. That's hard to find these days when it comes to hospitality. They are situated in a prime area with Belfast and Acadia to the north, Camden and Rockland to the south, and plenty of things to do. Wish we would of had more time. I highly recommend Mount Battie Motel for visiting Mid Coast Maine. Thanks again and see you both soon.

We stay in Mt Battie Motel on each trip to Maine. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Camden area. Rooms are a great size, very comfortable. Christine and Ed are very informative and work hard to make the visit enjoyable.
Motel is at a great location right on rte.1 in Lincolnville about 10 minutes from downtown Camden and 3-4 minutes from Camden Hills State Park. Great setting.
The breakfasts are all made by Christine; fabulous muffins.

Room tip: Quieter rooms are on the top tier.

The Mount Battie Motel is a very comfortable, clean, quaint place to stay with a harbor view at a very reasonable price. Ed & Christine are very hospitable and Chrisitne's fresh baked pastries were a nice treat in the morning. We also appreciate the information Ed & Christine shared with us about all the things there are to do in the area. We really enjoyed our stay.

After visiting with family in Newport ME over the long holiday weekend, my mom and I decided to spend a couple of days enjoying the good life in the Camden/Rockland area. The Mount Battie Motel was the first place we stopped to look into a place to stay for 1-2 nights. It just looked so homey and quaint and it certainly was that! Ed and Christine who have owned the motel for ~11 years were so personable and pleasant to talk to that we knew as soon as we spent a few minutes with them that this was the kind of place for us. The room accommodations were comfortable and the outside area very cozy and quaint with a beautiful view overlooking the mountains. Breakfast was included in the cost of the each night and Christine is a fabulous baker who made some delicious breads with all natural ingredients. I would highly recommend a stay here to find out for yourself how much you will enjoy the basic comforts of home at a respectable price.

Room tip: Rooms in the front building are closer to the main house where breakfast is served

Wifi worked well, comfortable beds, Christine's concierge service was very helpful with area attractions, and the location is convenient to a host of scenic spots. The baked breads were delicious, fresh and different each morning! This Inn is old and has quite a history. While I think Ed and Christine are the third owners, they are continuing to maintain the charm and hospitality that the Inn is know for. Camden is our favorite spot on the Maine coast and Mount Battie is a good value in the area.
Ed's collection of WWII aviation art is a must see!

Room tip: The family suite has two separate bedrooms, one with a king and full bath the other has a queen with a half bath.

May is a great time to visit the Mid-Coast of Maine. We love when guest revisit The Mount Battie after staying with other owners and witnessing first hand all the work and changes that we have done over the last eleven years.Yes , there is a lot of history and charm here at the Mount Battie. We realized that when we bought it and have been committed ever since to make sure that it will never be lost. Thank you for staying with us and enjoying all that we have to offer.Actually we are the FOURTH owners and are on track to be the longest owners. After several years it looks like the aviation art will have new prints added to the collection, something Ed has been working on this year. Thank you again, we look forward to seeing you again.
