Why else would you go to a lobster pound but to enjoy the lobster? We had the shore dinner - fish chowder, corn bread, steamers, lobster (1 1/2 pound) - fries - corn on the cob - all for about $36. Not bad! We were stuffed. Fast service, great view, good food. It doesn't get any better on the coast of Maine.

Found this place behind another restaurant and right on the water. A lobster eater most of my life and I have never eaten anything this fresh and sweet. Reasonable prices, and obviously where the locals eat. You can eat inside or outside on picnic tables while you enjoy the great view. My only regret was we were not staying in the area so I could only eat there once.

The food was excellent. A little pricey for what it was. Good service. Enjoyed my fish and chips for $12.70. Haddock basket was excellent for $15.50 for lunch. Happy to find a place we could eat outside on the water with our dog.

This was the best meal we had on a recent trip to Maine and the Canadian Maritime provinces. After seeing one restaurant after another asking $25-$30 for lobster, cole slaw and a roll, we had a lobster, fries, corn on the cob and cornbread for $18. It's all takeout, but they have tables both inside and outside where you can eat, overlooking the harbor. Outside, you can see the lobsters in the holding tank before they begin cooking them. Yeah, there's a little wait for the food, but it's worth it.
