“Nice - Good location for Mid-Coast Sightseeing.”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We recently stayed at the Glenmoor via Groupon - we were in the motel portion of the property. It was fine - very clean, microwave, small fridge - table/chairs, iron but no hair dryer.

While there was plenty of hot water - the shower was lacking in pressure and the bathroom in general was a very tight squeeze. And while you can see the bay from the shared balcony - it is a good distance away and it is a shared balcony.

We asked about upgrading to a cottage but the young lady behind the desk didn't seem able to handle our request. We could definitely hear the people in the room adjacent to ours and I am sure they could hear us - so if you are concerned about privacy - the motel rooms- probably aren't for you. The pool closest to us was closed our entire stay as was the hot tub - there was another pool but not in a convenient location if you were staying at the other end of the property.

The continental breakfast was the usual fare - although I would suggest the addition of cereal to the menu. The baked goods were excellent and everything was well stocked and clean.

Staff was friendly and courteous and the location is great. I think if we had been able to stay in a cottage close to the water - this would be a "rave" review - as we spoke to several people who were in the cottages and they were all very pleased with their accommodations.

The grounds were nicely landscaped and well maintained.

And it was nice to see that they are dog friendly!

All in all - our accommodations - in the "motel" section of the property - were good - clean, roomy (except for the bathroom) - although a bit pricey at the regular price for me but about average for the area from the other locations we looked at.

I would definitely recommend - just be aware of where you will be staying when you are picking your room.

Room Tip: If you want to be near the water - chose the cottages that are located in front. There are several...

We stayed in St. Andrews and had a nice size room and great view of the ocean and islands. It was easy to get to Mt. Battie, Camden and Lincolnville. People were responsive to our request for service to the air conditioner. The grounds are lovely, with games, pools, and tennis courts. Breakfast was ordinary, but we made due. We would definitely go again.

We stayed in cottage 36. It was surprisingly large and comfortable. Although you could see the ocean from our cottage, the view wasn't great. A very short walk to the shore and it was spectacular. Gorgeous rocky shore and views. Area has several cool shops and restaurants.

We got to enjoy this place after purchasing a groupon for the lodge at camden hills, then Noticing another groupon for the glemoor I quickly canceled the lodge and booked the glemoor because it was right on the water. We stayed in 29. best view of the 2nd row cottages. It might have been a little less modern then the lodge but the location couldn't be beat! Loved that we weren't in the middle of camden, the town gets very busy and touristy. Office staff was great. Breakfast was continental, but Dots and the green tree coffee place across the street from dots were both great alternatives to the typical hotel breakfast. Do yourself a favor and def go to both places and get the breakfast sandwich forms dots! grounds were kept up nice. Although it rained while we were there both nights it was still nice to sit by the water and listen to the waves from the deck. amenities looked well kept as well. Definitely
A must go! Not a motel. if you can spring for a front row/ or even second row breakers cottage do it!! You won't be disappointed.

Great view of the ocean..hearing the waves crash against the rocks was so calming. Room service was very impressive..always came back to a made bed with clean towels. The staff was amazing..friendly and helpful. The location is not far from Camden for great food and shopping...enjoy the wonderful views all around. We will definitely be returning next year. Thank you Glenmoor by the Sea!

This was our second stay and we have reserved for next year. This year we had a 2br1ba (Sterling #9) which suited us just fine. We are 2 friends traveling together so if you go to bed earlier or rise later the other person is not tip-toeing around. nice bath, small kitchenette, table with chairs inside (as well as on the deck) a lounger and pull out sofa. Kathy the owner and Polly the manger have their fingers on the pulse so to speak and are full of information about local restaurants and things to do. There are 2 heated pools, kiddie play area, horse shoes, frisbee etc. We did not use the fitness area.

Room Tip: Talk to front desk there are a large variety of rooms.

If you are looking for a place to relax, unwind and be peaceful, you cannot do better than Glenmore By The Sea in Lincolnville Maine. This was our 6th visit and it keeps getting better. We adore our 'cabin on the bay' and the staff is courteous and extremely friendly. The grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. We love our Maine weekends and Glenmore is a big reason why we keep going back to the area.

Room Tip: The Breaker Cottages are PERFECT
