We stayed here on our first New England trip last May. The owners were helpful and welcoming. The location was great, right on the beach, and the place was clean and charming. We stayed in an upstairs unit in the back so that we'd have a beach view. It was close enough to Camden that we could explore Camden from our beach cottage.

Room Tip: Request a back room for a beach view.

Very charming and extremely clean rooms with a awesome view! Dorothee and Rob were perfect hosts!
The location is great. It is directly on the beach and the best Pub in town is located next to it!
The Duck Trap is close and it is only a few minutes drive to the mountain, where you have an amazing view over the sea!

I will definitely come back!

We stayed in the Beach Cottage Inn over Thanksgiving. We booked pretty much last minute.
We did not expect much, but got everything. The owner of the Beach Cottage Inn are wonderful, warm-hearted people. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. The decor is very affectionate, detailed and authentic chosen. But most of all, this place is incredibly cozy. The Beach Cottage is right on the ocean and the view from the deck is breathtaking. Right next to the cottage is the owner's restaurant "The Whales Tooth Pub". This is an absolute must. The food there is very good and the atmosphere is very cozy. Starting Thanksgiving, the restaurant is decorated Christmassy, and the large fireplace is in use. Every time we were there, we enjoyed listening to awesome live music.
All in all, the Beach Cottage Inn is highly recommended.
For us it is for sure: Next year again!

The cottage is the perfect vacation spot anytime of year. Owners Rob and Dorothee make sure your stay is absolutely perfect! The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and cozy and situated right on the bay with water views. The whales tooth pub is right next store and the food is delicious and the atmosphere maybe even better. You can have dinner by a fireplace, listen to live acoustic guitar music, singing bartenders, and the staff is so friendly you feel like family! For breakfast just up the street is DOTs which has the best breakfast you will ever taste and healthy/gluten free options are available. There are too many activities such as hiking and near by towns to even list. I stayed here for a month during off season for school and will be back very soon for many years to come! So will the many friends and family who visited and fell in love with the place and could not stay away...

We stayed three nights in the Crow’s Nest in July 2012 and enjoyed it very much. The “wet bar” is actually a bit more than that – it has a microwave and a refrigerator and basic utensils. Being in Lincolnville Beach was nice because it was less crowded than Camden/Rockport/Rockland (all of which are close by). The Inn is easy walking distance to several restaurants, the post office and the ferry to Islesboro.

The view from the shared deck is lovely, but be aware that you are right next to the Whale’s Tooth restaurant so the sounds and smells of a busy kitchen last into the evening.

We did a last minute trip to the Camden area. The only room available was the least expensive Timberwind. Let me start out by saying the Inn is very clean. The Timberwind, at $150 per night, is a very small one bedroom in the front of the house, which is steps from the main road. It is probably the least expensive room you can find. It was like sleeping on the road. I am a very sound sleeper, but not here. The traffic, including rather large trucks run through town all night, and none obey the 35mph speed limit. The mattress was pretty saggy. The room had almost no natural light. The bedroom window looks into the cottage's main entrance, and anyone coming into the cottage could look into the room? So, we kepth the blinds closed. Two steps down from the bedroom was a small sitting room with one easy chair and two hard back chairs. The room at one time had been the house's main entrance. It had 2 windows and a double door that opened to the front of the cottage, right off the sidewalk and road. We tried keeping the A/C unit fan on to drown the traffic. It didn't work well. I would say, be sure to reserve in advance in this area and if you stay here, do whatever it takes to reserve bedrooms on the back side of the house!

Stayed two nights in a nice room at the front of the house. Very clean and comfortable. You must look at the before pictures in the foyer to see how much work they did. Friendly and helpful host. Have to go down the street to the bakery for breakfast. Good food but they are not very friendly there. Ate dinner at the Whale's Tooth which is owned by the same folks that own the inn. Good food and value. Great fish and chips. Would go back.
