Needed a Mexican fix so we headed to this local eatery. A combo of counter and table service, unlimited soda refills, numerous homemade salsas of varying heat but all with great flavor, this is where to eat Mexican without gobs of melted cheese. Lots of options, open kitchen, eat in or take out. They do have a cantina but I have not gone in there. If you want affordable, flavorful Mexican, fast and easy, go here!

We drive through/by Kittery a couple of times a year and love this "away from the outlets" place to eat, so much so that we plan our driving schedule to make sure we are there for either lunch or supper. The food is quick, hot, fresh and plentiful, every time!

This is our to go to Mexican restaurant in the area. We love their taco salads. We get our food quickly and it is always delicious! It is nice to have the little area with different sauces to choose. You can either make an order at the counter and pick your own table or you can go to the bar area and be waited on. It is rather large. We like to bring our friends here when they come to town to visit. The taco salads are so big that we always bring half of it home!

If you are reading this review on your smart phone, do not hesitate, go in!

The set up is a little confusing, so decide based on your party - want to be waited on?, more of Friday night out with coworkers?, ESPN on the TV? Sit on the bar side. With your kids, in a rush, heading home from the beach - sit on the cafeteria side. (Cafeteria is a poor term, but I do not know what else to call it - you order, advance down a line, pay, they call your number, you go get your tray of food, etc.)

The food is great on either side, and the margaritas on the bar side are awesome. I had a blood orange margarita at the suggestion of the bartender - was not disappointed. The portions are plentiful, the salads very fresh and handcut, the chips are homemade, plenty of options for salsas. Have had several meals here in the past year, with various combinations of people, and once by myself on the way home from outlet shopping, never been disappointed.

So despite it's unassuming exterior, GO IN!

Incredible- a real Mexican restaurant in the northeast. Only downstate New York can challenge New England Mexican as being the worst. That is why it was such a pleasant surprise to find that "authentic" does really exist- the sauces are homemade- as in no tomato paste and actual fresh habaneros. Real corn on applicable items....real spices- most of the stuff that is labeled "hot" in this region, including when it comes to Chinese food, is just laughable. I love the addition as well- the more quiet back patio if you prefer it over the more fast-food, cafeteria style main area.
