This place most definitely had a lot of merchandise for the outdoors and adventure type. Yet the prices were not what I was expecting. I was looking for items about 1/2 the cost of other locations but found there was only really about a $10-$40 savings on most items.

While I did buy a few pairs of footwear my overall experience of the trading post was not what was expected. I much preferred the other outlet shops in this area.

My husband and I went to the Septemberfest at the Kittery Trading Post the 1st week of September. This is an annual event. There were demonstrations, drawings, tent sale, vendor booths, and sale items throughout the store. We especially enjoyed the group talk on deer hunting. We went both Saturday, September 7th and Sunday, September 8th. A great outing.

We were told that we may find some deals on fishing gear at the Kittery Trading Post, well that was an understatement. We we amazed from the start with the size and layout of the store. The gun room was beyond belief and took hours to go through .We went to the main floor and my wife was beside herself with the deals on footwear. When we finally got to the basement and the fishing supplies it exceeded all expectation. We were able to buy tackle for about 50% of what we would normally pay. The sales staff went above and beyond the see that we were well looked after . Even check out was a very pleasant experience. We are planning a November return trip already

Though there are many "premium" outlet malls in the area, The Trading Post, with its' indoor and outdoor venues, is certainly a "diamond in the rough," and definitely, a place to consider when looking for everything from a to z, especially when hunting for souvenirs that will not have you go broke...
