This place is the best. Nothing fancy -- bare walls, a little loud, a little chilly, it is pretty much what you are looking for in a terrific addition to your ski weekend/week/life.

The food is great, leaning heavily on hearty. The service is rushed, leaning heavily on friendly. The prices are an afterthought in that you are really paying for such great food and a fun experience, which can be a little pricey as it really is in the middle of the middle of nowhere, but not for sparkling decor or useless luxury.

Let's put it this way -- if you make the drive all the way up to Sugarloaf for the weekend and don't go to Hug's, you are missing out on a pretty neat all-around experience.

Wonderful creative food in a cool atmosphere though a bit pricey. A special treat kind of place in my view. Will likely go back.

Wonderful atmosphere. Cozy, with friendly staff. My husband fell in love with the Pepperoncini Martini and has been trying to recreate it ever since. The pesto bread- amazing. My picky tween and teen kids tried it and it has opened new doors for them, LOL. Yes, it's pricey, but it's a resort area, and there really isn't too much else around, especially of this quality. There's only so many times you can eat at Gepettos or The Rack. We couldn't wait till the next competition at Sugarloaf so we could co back.

Excellent food once again. Wonderful service, Kim, even as it was a very busy night for Hug's, they know how to keep on top of it with extra wait staff and kitchen staff. My husband had his usual Salmon Piccata, just the best flavors with capers, spinach, and mushrooms. I got Sundried Tomato and Pesto on Penne and Shells with Shrimp, our friends got the same as I did only with scallops as well as the Chicken Parmesan. It was great the see the owner in the restaurant. Keep up the great work, Beth! See you again soon.

Excellent food and drinks. This place has history and atmosphere. It is truly a Sugarloaf tradition to stop here after a long day on the slopes.
