The 1802 House Bed and Breakfast was a real treat. Quietly luxurious, and very enjoyable. The breakfasts were scrumptuous and the dinner recommendations were spot on. The area is very quiet yet close to the hub of dock square. Teri made our stay very enjoyable!

My wife and I stayed over Labor Day and the whole experience was very very good. The breakfasts were fantastic, the room was very well furnished and the bed was perfect. We had the room with the wall mounted extra shower heads. We both want tose for our own house now. The staff went out of their way to make dinner reservations and recommendations. We will be back next summer for sure.

Hi Don,

We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay here in Kennebunkport and at the 1802 House. Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your thoughts with others. That new shower in our Camden room is getting a lot of rave reviews from our guests. Those jets have been so popular that we've already put them on the list of must-haves for the York room bathroom remodel this winter.

We hope to see you both (and your grandchildren) next year. Hi to Linnie and best wishes to you both.

Take care,
Teri, Innkeeper

My husband and I stayed at the 1802 House over Labor Day Weekend. We could not have picked a better place to stay! Terri the hostess was amazing. She welcome us when we arrived, made us feel very comfortable, and helped us throughout our stay with information about the area and suggestions of where to go. The common spaces and rooms were very nice and beautifully maintained. The highlight of our stay was breakfast each morning! Terri and her staff make everyone feel welcome and comfortable at the communal breakfast table. And the breakfasts were beyond delicious! I am still thinking about the baked plum and yogurt we were served. We enjoyed everything! Overall the stay far exceeded our expectations and we look forward to returning!

Hi Katie,

Thank you for choosing the 1802 House to celebrate Silas' birthday! It was so nice to meet you both. We really appreciate your very kind review and are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The baked plums do appear to be very popular with our guests - and are a personal favourite of mine too.

We hope to see you both again soon.

Best wishes,

We chose 1802 House for a short honeymoon trip, and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The accomodations were outstanding, and just a short walk from downtown Kennebunkport (and Kennebunk, for that matter). Most importantly, Teri was the perfect hostess - all of her recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area were spot on, and the breakfast dishes prepared each morning never failed to please.

Most importantly, Teri repeatedly went out of her way to make sure our trip was perfect. For instance, before heading into town one morning, we spoke with Teri about wanting to take a walk along the marginal way in the nearby town of Ogunquit. I mentioned in passing that I had heard about a trolley between Kennebunkport and Ogunquit, which I planned on looking into later in the afternoon. By the time we returned from town, Teri had already put together a map referencing each of the trolley lines we would need to take to reach Ogunquit.

The bottom line is this - if you're looking for the perfect B & B in Kennebunkport, look no further than 1802 House. We definitely plan on returning.

Hi Gregg and Lexi,

Thank you so much for your very kind review. We are so glad that enjoyed your honeymoon getaway here in Kennebunkport and at the 1802 House. We wanted to own a small Inn so that we could ensure that all of our guests get a good quality of personalized service when staying with us. We also think that the second 'B' in B&B is really important too and should be fun as well. So we do splash out on the breakfasts. Everything is cooked fresh from scratch each morning using local ingredients. The guest reviews tell us that they love it so it's worth the extra attention on our part!

Once again, our best wishes to you both on a long and happy future together. We hope to see you again when your travels bring you back to Maine.

Take care,
Teri & Roger, Innkeepers

My husband and I stayed at the 1802 House this passed weekend (8/23-25) primarily based on the recommendations on TripAdvisor. We couldn't have made a better choice. We enjoyed everything about the inn from our room, the common space, the relaxing outdoor areas to the great breakfasts. We were very surprised to learn that Terri and Roger had only been innkeepers for a little over a year, we thought they had years of experience. They both were extremely gracious and helpful in recommending things to do in and around the area. Terri's breakfasts are fabulous--you won't need to get lunch! The ten minute walk into town was a perfect way to stretch our legs. We look forward to another visit.

Hi Pat,

Thank you so much for your very kind review. We are getting a lot of new guests this season who are booking from TripAdvisor so we can't thank you enough for sharing your experience here too! It's high praise to hear you say that we don't appear new to this innkeeping adventure. We've spent years ourselves staying in B&B's so had a really good idea about how we wanted to run ours and what type of experience we wanted our guests to enjoy while staying with us. We're getting such wonderfully positive feedback from our guests so appears to be working well!

It was so nice to meet you and Tim. We will look forward to seeing you both again in the future!

Best wishes,
Teri & Roger, Innkeepers

1802 House is on a quiet side street in Kennebunkport a 15 minute walk from Dock Square.
The rooms are beautifully decorated, the morning breakfast is wonderful. We very much enjoyed the conversation at the 8 person table in the dining room. Teri is very welcoming and friendly. This is a perfect place to stay. Don't forget to try dinner at Earth at Hidden Pond==top notch.
