Enjoyed the whole experience of being at Bandaloops. The wait staff was excellent , the lamb & wasabi tuna meals were delicious & filling, a very nice atmosphere (not too noisy, we were seated inside). The couple we were with have been going there for a few months & consider it "their new favorite restaurant" Make a reservation on the weekends.

“3 Strikes and You're Out - Poor Service Time After Time”
Reviewed July 6, 2008

Just got back from 4th of July weekend and wanted to review a couple of outstanding experiences. It pains me to write this one, as former avid fans of the place. But I cannot stand the rude and inattentive waitstaff that is allowed to ruin the dining experience time after time. We have been faithful customers since the place opened, and great tippers, but since the staff turnover is so great, no one ever seems to "know your name," and they treat you as such. Would it be so difficult for the chef/owner to demand certain levels of service, or at least common courtesy? Lost reservations, abrupt responses, always running out of ingredients for specials, desserts, or mint for mojitos.... The food is still good, with lots of vegetarian options, but I just can't recommend the place any more for a nice dining "experience." Sorry, we won't be going back...

“nice change - if you are tired of lobster”
Reviewed July 4, 2008

We had a pleasant meal here. It was busy and we needed a reservation for our meal. Staff were pleasant.
The food was good- nothing to write home about but healthy and tasty flavors. Liked that there were vegan and non- dairy options.
Had the shrimp cakes which were good. The haddock special with hemp seed was nice as was the haddock with panko and a curry sauce- the sides were fine-

I would not say that anything was outstanding but it offered some nice choices if you are tired of the lobster places.

“Great Find”
Reviewed May 31, 2008

This restaurant is a great find for dinner in Kennebunkport, especially if you are "Lobstered Out" The food is delicious and very creative and I think they may have a vegan and or organic menu. I like the fact that you can match your dinner entre with a variable sauce. The soup of the night was delicious. It is a bit hard to find and you definitely need a reservation on the weekends as it was really busy the night that we were there and they had to turn away alot of people. Try the eggrolls with gorgonzola and walnuts. very tasty!

“Great place”
Reviewed February 10, 2008

Bandaloop is definitely worth a try if you are in the area. We did not care for the bread or the lemon rice that came with the haddock, but everything else was great. I got the pork chop with honey mustard glaze and it was really good, as were my sides. We both had very good appetizers, mussels and chicken quesadilla. I highly recomend both. The staff is very nice as is the atmosphere.
