“Highlight of our Culinary Trip”
Reviewed July 6, 2014 via mobile

My daughter & I spent 3 days in Maine on a culinary trip consisting of foodie tours & a cooking class. Jillyanna's brunch class was the highlight. Jill is warm & engaging, teaching us little tips and encouraging us dig in up to our elbows. She created a lovely breakfast pizza & sausages in the wood fired oven & invited us to help with the buttermilk biscuits & strawberry butter, jewel salad, softly scrambled eggs & lumberjack cake. She also gave us a lesson in making great coffee. We learned a lot while having fun. And you won't go home hungry.

“Lumberjack Brunch”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

I was invited to attend and would recommend this to any one visiting or living in Maine. The food was exceptional and was a hands on experience. Jill and Company treat the palate from start to finish. You learn how to prepare everything so you can recreate the meal once you return home. Jill gives you recipes to take with you and they are so well written even a novice cook can prepare an excellent meal. Jillyanna's is a hidden Gem in Kennebunkport. This isn't an experience you should have it is an experience you Must have!!

“"I've been to Italy several times and the Italians have got nothing on Jill!"”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

Very accessible and fun cooking instruction in a relaxed and elegant atmosphere. This is a very experienced chef who has traveled and learned from some of the very best in the world. You enter a beautiful setting which includes a large garden with vegetables and herbs that are used to prepare the evenings offerings. We enjoyed a demi-tasse of homemade soup outside and took a minute to enjoy the beautiful scenery. All of the food was absolutely exquisite and made even better by observing first hand the amount of love and passion that goes into every detail. This is not your normal cooking demo. You are engaged throughout the entire process and leave with the confidence to prepare an authentic and delicious meal. The recipes are not overly complicated with emphasis on high quality fresh ingredients. We will be visiting again to share this incredible
experience with friends and family.

“"The Best" Cooking Class...Hands down!”
Reviewed June 5, 2014

My wife gave this cooking class to me as a birthday present...best present ever! This class was top notch from the moment we arrived. A friendly, relaxed and enthusiastic atmosphere is created from the start. Easy to learn directions and hands-on teaching makes you feel like you could cook anything. If you love to cook or even if you are just starting out, this class is for you. So many great tips and ideas are shared you'll be able to head home and start cooking right away. Our hosts were fantastic and made us feel right at home. It felt more like a fun, family dinner party than a cooking class. I can't say enough about it...you need to try it. We can't wait to go back and take another. Thank you Jillyanna and Company...you are tops!

“Oh My, so delicious and fun!”
Reviewed May 21, 2014

We went to Jillyanna's Sunday brunch class. We loved the small, intimate setting (6 'students' at our class) and the food was amazing. There was a good balance between hands-on cooking and relaxing and being served. We were able to experience the woodfired pizza (breakfast pizzas) as well as treats cooked in Jillyanna's gas and electric ovens. We created everything from salmon cakes to salads, yogurt parfaits to frittatas. Lots of stories passed around, great company, and great recipes to take home too. I would highly recommend one of Jillyanna's classes to visitors to the Kennebunks and residents alike.
