This restaurant could get a 3 star or a 5 star, depending on what your criteria is. You see, this is very far from an elegant restaurant with all the trimmings and it does not have a wonderful menu with abundant fancy delicacies but it does have an ambiance of a simple, down-to-earth waterside lobster shack with simple but great food.
The tables are simple but cleverly rimmed so all the lobster juice won't run onto your lap. The ceilings are filled with nautical knick-knacks and the walls with seafaring photos - not elegant but with a charm of its own.
The menu is basically boiled lobster and it melts in your mouth! I did notice a steak on the menu and a few other items but it seemed everyone was eating lobster.....YUM! They also have beer and wine.
The price is right. Lobster isn't cheap but they certainly don't overcharge for their lobster as some places do.
So, if you are looking for all the pomp and circumstance of an elegant restaurant, this restaurant will garner a "3." If however, you are looking for the best lobster in a natural setting, then this restaurant is for you and you'll award Nunan's with a "5." I therefore split the difference and gave them a "4."
Oh, by the way, no credit cards accepted. Bring cash (they do have an ATM)
